Office, I see you purposely omitted the bit about difficult determining the Helium content when carried by Hydrogen with on-site equipment. Bo Sears and David Minchin had stated that clearly when gas was showing in drilling mud. Rather important since Flathead is the first target, don't you think?

I don't think Bo Sears would be writing stuff like that on LinkedIn unless he is extremely confident about the progress of his own projects. In fact, he is touching on points regarding the technical aspects of locating formations that were discussed on this board earlier today.

Office, nobody would only log one zone when the tool is already down the hole and the RNS does not say they would log one zone then perforate. It makes no sense.

Office, I think you are trying to justify your decision to sell. It's referred to as positive reinforcement by continuously repeating your view, which in turn hammers it in further.

Office, analysing the data for all zones and then deciding exactly where to perforate first can easily take a week to determine. Then when they do perforate, another week or more to analyse what they have.

TOC, you are completely wrong. The wireline logging data has to be interpreted and analysed, then they have to decide the best place to perforate the casing. Next, any gas needs to be flowing for a minimum of a week and samples taken and analysed. I think that's 2 - 3 weeks work.

It's only been 5 working days since the wellhead was installed and the wireline logging has to be run and analysed before perforating the casing, so it's still a bit early for any results.

CaptainJack1, that's just about right. They will be able to measure flow rates from initial gas after perforation and assess the percentage of Hydrogen. They may only get an accurate Helium measurement from lab analysis though.

TL2482, they will want to run the gas for a week or so before announcing initial flow rates, etc. They can't just say "Hydrogen and helium flowed at 3,000 cfd for one day".

It's the same with most oil and gas explorers just before initial flow rates and percentages are announced. A great example was Rockhopper in the Falklands - the share price went right down, then quadrupled on good results.

Brent, the gas kicking through 11 pound mud indicates that there's good pressure from the target formations and a very good chance of decent flow rates. We know that flow rates from a historic well on Ingomar had good flow rates too.

It's likely they decided that there's no point running a wireline logger before completing the well because the results would have been inaccurate and misleading, especially given the new KCL mud used. They know exactly where the gas reservoirs are and there's always the option of adding perforations to a casing to make adjustments to flow rates.

No. They are cementing the production casing, then test each zone starting at the bottom. The reason is likely that the new KCL mud is preventing proper readings. But they already know the where the gas reservoirs are, and once they perforate the casing the gas should flow.

Milab, Why do you think the gains aren't held right now? I will give you a month to work it out - let me know if you need longer.

It's because the the logging results haven't been published yet, and it is still exploration. Is that too complicated for you?

You think that because you know absolutely nothing about the company or gas exploration. So you rely on charts to validate your irrational thoughts.

If they got 10% Hydrogen and 3% Helium, why wouldn't they report this good news?

For anyone who doesn't understand the significance of the Precambrian. The Precambrian is where the Hydrogen and Helium are produced from, but is NOT where the accumulation to form reservoirs is typically found. The reservoirs are found above the Precambrian in sandstone and other formations types. The fact is they were not going to keep drilling when they already have 4 potentially good horizons to test.

Ah yes, but that is good news in a way because the sandstone is where the hydrogen is accumulating. It means there is potentially a much larger reservoir. How deep? We don't know.

Regarding the Precambrian, it just means the that Precambrian rock is deeper. The plan was only to deepen by a few hundred feet, not to find the Precambrian.
