Folks, Stop panicking over the short-term malaise of the copper price: China's self-imposed semi-quarantine - crucially, over the Chinese New Year, traditionally one of the busiest economic periods of the year - will temporarily significantly reduce consumption and production of numerous goods and services in the majority of its industries; and, as China remains the world's largest user of copper, it has/will reduce its use of it while it enforces restriction of movement to contain the coronavirus; after the threat passes and the quarantine is lifted, demand will increase, perhaps chivvied along by China's authorities, to cover for lost time.
