Looks like the initial fizz has gone out of the SP ( expected) but the momentum is there. I’m not selling till 399 is reached ,however long that takes. That’s my own fair value assessment and in the meantime will continue to pick up the divis. Long live Boris and the great U.K.
Fantastic result and somewhat surprised by the magnitude. Finally got rid of that Marxist rubbish and now as others say onwards and upwards. So pleased for all who kept the faith - and the bonus is hopefully some humble pie from Falkland and mad - not likely !
Hi Redceo - yes amazing it held up so well yesterday with a rough day for the markets. Fingers crossed for exit polls tonight , should give the indicator we need and if it’s a hung parliament I’m taking cover. It’s exciting, which is odd !!
Firstly Thankyou Fruitster for all your insightful postings and other posters for positivity for RMG, keeping the faith on a severely undervalued company. I too strongly hope the conservatives get a working majority and although I’m no fan of Boris, he is right that a working majority is the only way to take the country forward. Hung parliament will be a disaster and Corbyn propped up by SNP a catastrophe. We will soon know. Politics and the media have been nothing short of disgraceful at times and painful to watch. End of year SP predictions are as follows;
Redceo - 425. Oakleaf
StYd. 370 Oakleaf
POD. 444 Oakleaf
Fruitster. 390 beat
Derek R. 300 CP sport
Pastyc. 202 ?
Falkland. 150. ?
So atm pastyc is closest ,but it’s not over yet !!!!
Friday 13th could be a good day all round IF the you gov MRP poll turns out to be somewhere near correct.
Derek you really need to take a long hard look again at Labours manifesto - THAT is really terrifying ! The U.K. will be on its knees within weeks if Labour and particularly Corbyn/McDonnell get in. I’m still long on RMG and so long as Tories get even a small majority then things will pan out just fine.
You’re quite right on the zinc - got to take it at first sign of a cold. There’s also a product called coldzyme which if you use it asap after tickly throat works well. Maybe Rico should get some zinc so he can man up against TP. Nice to see Goldman Sachs are on our side - so many brokers dislike anything British ,makes me think they also run the Eurovision Song Contest ( laughing emoji)
Have stayed away from looking till yesterday and was quite surprised by the large drop. To me it looks like the market is spooked by the continued threat of IA and the transformation being behind schedule. Both of which are frustrated by the CWU. I’m still holding but it seems the union is hell bent on self destruction of RMG. Seeing how GLS and other parts of RMG contribute the main profit I think Rico should be ruthless and force the changes through ,as that’s what’s going to turn it around. Sure all the militants on here will say blah blah you don’t understand etc etc, but the reality is it has to adapt . Going to watch and wait and return to duvet cover if Labour start doing better in polls ( highly unlikely)
Totally agree Fruitster - they just don’t get it ,and a very short extension would sort it out and bring this issue to a final conclusion but I don’t think the EU will try to influence things. I also agree the shorts will probably increase as there’s nothing more they like than uncertainty. So more SP fluctuations on the cards.
There will be more than ballot cards for RMG, there will be all sorts of additional mail that is GE related. But as we can see Labour keep moving the goal posts for actually having one because they know they will lose seats possibly on a huge scale and hence terrified of a GE. RMG will get that revenue at some point but who knows when. Meanwhile the U.K. economy suffers. Having seen Diane Abbot this morning on biased broadcasting corporation I’m overjoyed Labour are so low in opinion polls, if they weren’t then an application visa to Australia might be on the cards lol.
BJ can get an election by bringing a vote of no confidence in his own government with just a simple majority not the two thirds required otherwise. It’s drastic, but it’s sorely needed as no one is in power. Certainty is needed, we saw that with the SP rise when the markets thought the deal was done. I think Corbyn is terrified of an election, hence his opposition to one despite calling for it for three years. I ,like most of the country just want it sorted out one way or another as complete fed up with all the squabbling. Think we will see investment come back in once the election is done.
It’s clear from Fridays big SP increase that the price of most U.K. companies are dependent on a deal being struck and not so much on RMG potential IA. IMO a deal will be reached but I think the remainer MPs will vote against no matter what the deal is. Saturday is going to be the day we get some conclusion but ultimately a GE has to happen and soon. I’m still holding as all this including the IA is temporary and hopefully the useless cretins in HOC will find a way forward. Think I’ll go back to hiding under the duvet till it’s all over.
Don’t often agree with you Arsenal ,but on this occasion totally agree !
Oh dear - do people really believe this utter bull@@@t - U.K. will self destruct if he gets in and if there’s even the slightest chance of it then as they say on dragons den “I’m out”. So much prospect for RMG that a few militant idiots want to destroy - bizarre times. I’ve worked for nearly 45 years in a manual job and last 30 self employed with no sick pay, no holiday pay, no company contribution to my pension ,just getting up each day doing my work to pay the bills. Luckily most RMG employees are hard working - let’s hope they see how good they’ve got it and vote against IA.
Does anyone have any info as to when the new Warrington parcel hub will be up and running ? I think originally it was around October but no recent updates found.
Ha! ( smiley face) - May I suggest the right honourable gentleman and totally unbiased Mr Bercow - I believe he’s free in November!
I should add that the cut off day for predictions will be let’s say end of November - otherwise someone will take a guess the day before !!

For anyone not in it who wants to be then just post your predicted SP to nearest penny for January 1st 2020 and your chosen charity. The winner will be the poster nearest the actual SP at close on last day of trading 2019 and donations to winners chosen charity via just giving page that I will set up at the time. You can pledge whatever you want but I think most of us have agreed £10
Firstly - great to see the SP rising and holding and agree with you Fruitster ,this is looking like a move back into value stocks. Secondly - Wolvesposty - no point arguing with Derek R - he’s typical of the so called liberal lefties - doesn’t listen to anyone else’s view unless it aligns with his own - I know from previous spats. But suffice to say Bercow broke just about every convention known to aid remain and then whinges when BJ & Co try the same. Hypocrite !! I won’t be replying to anything you post Derek so please don’t bother.
Same with my account - AJ Bell - gone in as cash but not been reinvested even though my settings are clearly for divi reinvestment- what’s going on ?
Redceo - I turned on the reinvestment only because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep an eye on SP and also with the expectation of a lower SP than when it went ex divi - guess work really ,but will probably now pay more than I wanted. Hey ho !
