Lufthansa Group has reported record-breaking revenue for 2024, achieving a total of EUR 37.6 billion, the highest in the company’s history. The airline group posted an operating profit (Adjusted EBIT) of EUR 1.6 billion for the full year, with a strong fourth quarter contributing EUR 468 million—an increase of EUR 66 million compared to the previous year.

The Lufthansa Group airlines carried 131 million passengers in 2024, a seven percent increase from the previous year. The load factor also reached a record 83.1%, with peak months July and August achieving almost 88%. Despite industry-wide capacity expansion leading to a 2.6% drop in average yields, revenue performance improved as the year progressed.

However, the group’s flagship Lufthansa Airlines faced challenges, with earnings declining by EUR 948 million due to delayed aircraft deliveries, increased operational costs, and compensation payments for flight disruptions. Despite this, other carriers in the group, including SWISS, Eurowings, Brussels Airlines, and Austrian Airlines, maintained strong performance, with Brussels Airlines posting its highest profit ever at EUR 60 million.

IAG's recent results showed. It's a pity so many are selling into the rise though.

Brent crude oil futures fell 2.2% to $69.5 per barrel on Wednesday, nearing a six-month low, as concerns grew over rising supply and trade policy uncertainty. OPEC+ announced it will increase oil output by 138,000 barrels per day starting in April, the first production hike since 2022. At the same time, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the Trump administration may ease tariffs on Mexico and Canada, with a decision expected soon. Changes to tariffs could disrupt oil flows, shifting Mexican crude to Asia and increasing Latin American imports to the US. Oil prices have been falling since mid-January due to fears that Trump’s trade policies could hurt global demand. Meanwhile, China’s 2025 growth target of about 5% has raised expectations for more economic stimulus.

@ Thumper novice I'm novice i was sitting in the sun yesterday on my phone & seeing Ezj sp go down i thought i brought some very happy with myself on the looking i had actually sold 1825 shares . So had to rebuy which cost me minus £35 for the trades

Do not need the Cuppa soup as i was lucky yesterday went round my friend & he was cutting the Rhine of the bacon as he was going to throw it away i took it so can add some meat to my Veggie peels & have meat & Veg soup

Both Wizz Air and Ryanair saying they carried more passengers last month than in the same month a year ago, while keeping their planes full.

Also, Wizz Air said it is seeing "better than expected revenue trends" for the first quarter of its 2026 financial year.

Did Ezj carry more passengers last month i would like to think so

Anyway everyone i spoken to are not giving up there Hols & some that did not go last year are going this year 3 of them with EZJ hope this helps :-)
