Nice link sai
6-9 months. So we are looking at August at the latest for social distancing and mask wearing to go. Before that we will reopen with the usual rules in place.
I'm sure now that an end is in sight it will motivate mooky and his crew to keep battling and get the best deals possible for cineworld.
What made me chuckle was the "small short at 40p"
If hes so confident in cineworlds demise, why not do a big short?
He obviously has his doubts over cineworld going bust. Something he doesn't share on here. Only negative posts.
No idea. Google it, even the ones who claim to "short" cine on here probably don't know.
Maybe trade212 can do it, I saw an alert once that I could lose unlimited amounts of money when I tried switching between investing types on there.
Any positive vaccine news, stimuls bill, covenant waivers or negative disney news will increase this SP.
The only possible news that would see us go under 20p again would be negative news on the waivers / debt restructuring.
I was one of the people who was posting how much in favor this share was to the shorters for the last few months.
Sadly for you, the odds have swung the other way now and its LH's who are in a better position.
Guys there is no point trying to talk about their losses. They only ever make money here, they never lose it.
Same here! Would make up for them dropping the closure bomb on us during a weekend.
Nobody knows the bottom. Just like nobody knows the top.
We could all have guessed 40p was on the cards, especially when we were at 47p and dropping relatively quickly.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, personally I just ride the waves. News is the only thing that will make us jump, but we will fall for no apparent reason. People who got in on the big rise are now selling for a loss. But there are people buying, and not in small quantities either. Some people probably can't believe their luck that they managed to buy more at sub 50p after the vaccine news.
Have to agree. If they arent signed already, I'd be shocked. The market is spooked because if it was a done deal, surely the news would be announced. It could mean that there is a disagreement somewhere along the lines.
I have every faith in mooky to look after his own (and my) interests.
When (if) the news comes, there will be no stopping cineworld SP, and I for one would not want to miss the rocket.
How do you know?
At the end of every Morgan Stanley related RNS, there is a paragraph at the end that says all their shares are due to borrowing agreements. That to me suggests that they are not in cine for the long haul.
It doesnt matter either way, because I highly doubt mooky will dilute his own holding unless it is absolutely necessary. I do not feel we are at that stage yet, especially since he said that we have enough cash to see us through until September 2021. (If closed).
I was just pointing out the worst case scenario, In order to try and keep a balanced opinion, even though I'm am really hoping for £1 before Xmas.
Haha.
Or a shorter covering their backside
Good find. Yeah I imagine they are all from the same investor. Too coincidental to not be.
@cape
A 6 week lock down in the USA means nothing to cineworld considering we are closed and probably won't reopen for a few months anyway.
Funinvest,
I base under 10p on the fact that without any incredibly bad news we some how dropped to 15p.
Any news regarding dilution or rights issues and there will be a huge overreaction seeing us plunge to under 10p (imo).
Me too. Tails always fails.
I'm hoping that armed with the new potential vaccine news, mooky can get a favorable deal now. Who knows, maybe thats why its taken so long, this could have been what both sides were waiting on.
I would also like to point out, that if the creditors have been too demanding, and mooky has had no choice, a rights issue or dilution would see us under 10p. A 100% effective vaccine wont help us in either of those situations.
Imo this is double or bust in the upcoming weeks. If it doubles, then its gonna keep going up after that.
The reason this SP is so low, is because its basically like flipping a coin at the moment.
Newbie that is a low end guess. If the waivers get agreed and mooky has done his creditor deals without dilution or right issues in play, plus the oxford news been positive (over 90% effectiveness) then this SP could easily be thrown up to 1.30 within days of the news breaking.
News will be flying thick and fast. It isn't going to hit 18p again unless the debt negotiations have gone terribly for share holders.
Well done with your recent profit though. Good luck.
I think you are spot on about the WW release. Mooky doesn't want to reopen until March imo, thats when the other big movies are scheduled for release. He will have empty cinemas in Jan and Feb, and due to furlough getting extended to March, he will want to make the most of the reduced cash burn. Cineworld did not offer redundancy to my friend who is an area manager, nor did they offer it to any of her lower down management. Also it gives Jan- March time scales for vaccines to be doled out, which will give people more confidence to return to things like cinemas.
It would be great for the refinancing news to be sent out in time with the oxford vaccine announcement. That would burn shorters, and we all know what mooky thinks of them.
The SP reflects the debt and the covenant tests due in December. Also lets not forgot about the law suite with that Canadian cinema chain.
I'm not so bothered about the law suite, but I am concerned about the covenant test next month. Until we hear news on that, this SP will do weird things.
