Long may the happy back slapping continue to £5 and beyond.
Over a year ago Royal Mail shares were trading in the 170's. They are now sitting at 592 with an expectation to rise to £10 a share. If only BT could follow suit .
Is that to the tune of EMPIRE STATE HUMAN ? I think last thing BT need right now is a copyright infringement.

Are you telling me that mighty IC are now quoting poster rodmitchell ?
Red Pete, stop baiting Rod. Look what happened to the share price the last time he mouthed that.
NCNIC00 Can you help? You mentioned you were the highest BT engineering grade being a Technical Officer. What role is a C3 ? how high is that in engineering grades ? and how much would their yearly salary be?
Larry King,
There's people out there who have to travel more than an hour to their place of work. Then put in a 9 hour shift with another hours journey home. Whether it be by public transport or their own vehicle, it's at their own time and expense. This BT engineer is never out of the street longer than 9 hours. By law that engineer must and most certainly will have a lunch break. So there's no way he's putting in a 9 hour shift that should see him rewarded with a day off each week. Talking to him I've gathered that he works on installing equipment in various exchanges in the area and he is not on callout.
It will be interesting to see if the BT engineer at the end of our street takes strike action. According to him his work pattern allows him a rolling day off each week. His van never leaves the street before 8am in the morning and always returns before 5pm. On a Monday, Wednesday and Friday depending if he's working on those days I guarantee you, his van is home by 4pm. By 4.30pm he is gym ready and jumps into a BMW M3 which lies proudly on the drive all day and heads to the gym. There's definitely something wrong with the middle management.
I'm in no doubt that the BT share price is being treated as a substitute by the City. The City is warming the share price by having it run up and down the side line in readiness for when they decide to introduce it into play.
Could this force a merger between BT and Sky sports ?

RedPete, you're back after a long absence. All we need is Lamtree to resurface in time for the New Year.
Now, a recent survey by Bloomberg showed that most fund managers believe that BT is a potential takeover target.

Who's enforcing the rule that if the van hasn't moved after the 15 minutes of the engineer's start time they get a phone call ?
and who's monitoring what time the van parks up ? If you can give me their number I'll keep them informed about the Openreach engineer who lives at the bottom of the street.
A strike wont impact BT as much as some think, it may even force BT to use outsourcing companies more than they already do.
WELL SAID FLECCY
Jamtart take a look out your window and you'll see a Openreach van parked in the drive and not a second car. I can guarantee that van rarely moves before your starting time and I could guarantee that most evenings it's parked on the drive before finishing time. You have a cosy number but just beware Openerach as Fleccy says might end up outsourcing the work. How would you feel working for Kelly Communications at 2/3 rd's of your present wage.
It's fact. During the strike with no engineers working in Street side cabinets it eliminated all working party faults. No working pairs being stolen, no working lines being accidently knocked off. Now extend that to all other cross connection points in the network.
