Someone yesterday gave their view that Argo's value was 90p based on current BTC price and mining capacity. No idea how right this is but if you think that's fair value or whatever value you think is fair then this mining upgrade equates to about a 50% increase - you would also argue more as margins will increase as you get economies of scale.
Likely to be more like 3K bitcoin next year all things being even based on:
"Argo’s total mining capacity is 16,000 machines and 645 petahash (SHA-256) in addition to 280 Megasols of equihash mining capacity.
The Company’s equipment leasing agreement with Celsius Network, which is set to deliver 4,500 Bitmain Antminer S19 and S19 pro miners, is on schedule. The machines are expected to be fully operational by February 2021 and will add approximately 430 petahash to the Company's installed computing power.

Is this why the share price popped?
I just bought in today with a fairly significant investment of my portfolio at 25 year SP lows, so thank you to all those stupid enough to sell at the worst possible time this millennium. To others with stop losses in place, I really suggest you turn them off and exercise some patience as planes will not be grounded too much longer and demand will begin to increase. I do think that as we saw with Rolls Royce this week, there will be heavy buying and some view of £3 very soon.
2K is chicken feed with your investment. Look at it like this, if the selling price is 272 and goes to 300 you are effectively risking 2K to make 8K. Your decision.
I've put a stop loss at 260 should the offer fall through and the SP tank. As other posters have stated, the SP will hover around 272 whilst that's the best offer on the table.
They can recommend the offer and shareholders will reject it. In which case the JV continues and WH grows US business. What's the problem?
Share price is on the move showing more buyers.
I also added about 5K this morning @ 2.72. I'm no expert but that offer barely prices in the current US business from what I've been reading let alone huge growth potential which is ready to go pending legalisation in further states. I just can't imagine major shareholders allowing this through at 272. If this does go through then board are a waste of space and there needs to be some naval gazing as to why the UK bosses sell off our crown jewels at bargain basement prices. No wonder the FTSE is full of dead wood and our best companies like ARM get bought up.
It was an incremental £3
Two good anecdotes : Be greedy when others are fearful (but do do your homework).
Sorry short term the stock market is a voting machine, long term it's a weighing machine.
You're best out of cineworld. The UK's most shorted stock! Business model is risky particularly with covid.
