I have plenty of mates in Porsche Club in their 60s who have 911s; even one who is 74 has a GT3RS Weissach. So age is no barrier.

M135i, I too have had RS Turbos, 3 in fact, 2 XR2s, a 205 GTi, Golf GTi, 3 x BMW convertibles, Calibra, 2 Boxsters and other Porsches mentioned before. Currently have a 4 year old Fiesta ecoboost as I was hardly using the Cayman (718 GTS) and it was depreciating by £900 a month!

Kray. Yes my Macan was spot on. I believe they ARE bringing out an electric one. If either you or Les do buy a Porker I’d recommend joining Porsche Club. Les, I don’t know of any Porsche dealers where you are (there WILL be one). I use Hull which is only 10 miles from me in Beverley, but did use Wilmslow and Chester when I lived in Manchester.

Les. Lots of my customers knew about it, in fact one owned Ducati’s and encouraged me to buy it. I’d go for a Cayenne if I were you. All Porsches are similar. Try to get a test drive. I’m assuming you’re in London as I’m sure there’s a few OPCs down there.

Les. I’m going for another 911 (992) convertible. I had a 911 (991) convertible in 2012 when I was working. I know, you couldn’t make it up, a Manchester postman with a brand new, paid for, 911. I’ve also had 2 Boxsters, a Macan diesel (excellent) and a Cayman GTS. I just need another 911 and a bog standard Carrera is more than adequate.
