I held briefly and took a small loss three days ago, wasn't comfortable holding this, and Millennium International increased its short yesterday. A buyout/offer would appear to be its only hope.

Family-owned Brains kept their best/sentimental pubs and were fortunate to find Marstons to take the rest of their very tired estate, there will only be two winners in the pub game, they will be local independent pubs that cater to the individual needs of the local community and The Spoons because of their excellent prices and range of products, I have no shares in The spoons, but you have to admire their VFM.

I am from Cardiff, and the pubs are always packed on event days across the city, but on the whole the pubs 90% of the time are very quiet, I regularly use 3 pubs that Marstons got off Brains, and watching the business over the last 6 months in these three pubs influenced me to sell my Marstons shares, Brains Kept approx 20 of their best pubs and the rest went to Marstons, on what I have seen I think Brains have won in that deal, all three of these pubs that I frequent were thriving prior to covid, now they are dead unless there is an event on and maybe a little busy on Fri/Sat, to add to the problem they are all desperately in need of refurbishment.

Really strange action today could not buy ANY below 20p with a j bell when it was 19p to sell(they would take all my shares), small caps are so easily manipulated up or down. I've got as many as I feel comfortable with at the moment but might buy more if they go sub-20p again.

I have been in and out of this share for a few years, it has not done me any harm generally , the last time I sold a little late after they had finished share buybacks, but still made profit. This time I've been a little early buying firstly at 29p, and over the last couple of days I've been buying more at 22p.This company comes up with special diamonds that sell for premiums(they must be due one soon), whatever the state of the diamond market, and with the hope of a buyback think these are cautious punt at this price.

Razoba44, I agree, I sold 80% of my portfolio a month ago(a little slow to react) but kept my PPC shares, I do not feel the need or want to dwell on my success or on another's misfortune with smugness or malignant pleasure, its called gloating and it is poor form.

About a month ago, I was reading articles about what to do in a bear market all said do not panic (Russ Mould at AJ Bell, Market Watch, Goldman Sachs, and various others)well I panicked (a little too late) and sold 80% of my shares including NEX(wish I'd sold all my shares). I had watched my portfolio fall 15% and if I had held on it would now be 22%, at the moment I am struggling to find where the good news will come from with current world economics, inflation, and political turmoil. Maybe all the experts will be proven right but at the moment my panic seems the right call and I am in no rush to rejoin the moment. This is not advice and I am certainly not gloating, but what has happened to NEX is in line with all other travel shares in the last three weeks and months since Putin's war, which there is no doubt has been the catalyst for the market fall.

Roofer61, I find the timing of selling is way more difficult than the buying, in the last six months I've gone from a 100% blue portfolio to 70% red, without me being overweight big oilers, and Investec I would have lost a lot of profit made since march 2020 but these shares have kept me within 10% of my portfolio highs. For the last six months, the markets have been tough and I'm a **** trader, that being said I do think Rank Org at these prices, is a good investment, backed up by the recent CFOs 83K purchase. I purchased at 1.25 and at 1.00 and 95p(I'm at sp with these at the moment), but after Wednesday RNS I am encouraged to purchase more at the current price. Good luck.

Market Screener website shows 90% of shares in Rank Organisation held by institutions, only 10% in public free float though there does not seem to be a lot of interest judging by Chatroom input. This does not put me off (the noise can lead you to bad decisions)my best investment over the last few years Investec(INVP) does not attract much Chatroom input, that share also has a similar profile with large institutional holdings. As with many shares, before Covid, this was a regular consistent Dividend payer and I believe it will be once again.

Must be a good price, a relation of the CFO (Wife or another family member) has just purchased over 80K of shares, I have dipped my toe in over the last few weeks may be the right time to buy a few more this share has been hammered (as have a lot of others) over the last few months, they have a virtual monopoly on casinos in the U.K, not many shares in free float and does not take much to move it (up or down), I feel or hope that this is somewhere near the bottom.

I have not noticed many directors buying, surely if so staggeringly undervalued we will see some.

G W Pharma springs to mind,also dual listed and did the same thing as Tils is proposing to do,you just never know with Pharma shares.G W Pharma had a market cap of a few hundred million pounds,when it delisted from LSE,eventually sold recently for 7.2 billion Dollars,Not saying this is the same but who knows.

Very strange day been looking to add to my holding for last few weeks,and for most of the day was able to buy at 2.20 and sell for 2.2202 should have known better as when things are too good to be true it is bound to drop, always seems to be a background seller with this share, but at least the spread was minimal today. happy to continue buying at this price but WTFDIK.

On the previous three trading sessions prior to today I have been offered 50p to sell my shares and have been able to buy at the same time for 49.69 have seen this anomaly before with other shares but only for very brief moments,never for three trading sessions, not sure of the significance if any just seemed a bit strange.
