The government has to source the ppe from somewhere, most likely a Uk manufacturing company.
Before anyone says, “they have millions in stock” It’s a consumable item, it gets used every day. And before anyone says, “contracts have been signed with other companies”, contracts get cancelled when a better option comes available.
