Avingtrans has announced today its further investment in Adaptix. It is also involved at the same time presently making a further investment in Magnetica its Medical Division. Likely bringing their complementary technologies closer together in application. It is not entirely clear from the announcement what is meant by the intention being to lead Adaptix to a successful exit planned for 2024 but it would suggest possibly a listing on the stock market. If so might Magnetica become part of that too? Any other views please?
Magnetica majority owned by Avingtrans as its Medical Division is seeking approval to raise new capital while also converting its debt owned by Avingtrans into new Equity. Magnetica shares in issue could increase from around 339m to 562m with Avingtrans holding being somewhere between 52% & 69% of the larger capitalization.
Very interesting is that the fund raising documentation mentions amongst other things the potential of collaboration to evaluating the opportunity to combine the images produced from Magnetica's Cryogen-Free MRI System & Adaptix PLC's DT ( Digital Tomosynthesis) imaging system. Avingtrans holds around 11% of the Adaptix PLC's equity.
At first glance the RNS today suggested that Unicorn AIM VCT plc might have shed some of its holding - however its lower percentage holding would appear to reflect no change in the number of shares it holds only that it did not acquire any more shares in the recent fund raising.
Announcement includes the 2nd mention of £0.6m Japanese order for delivery this financial year yet 1st mention of two rather larger orders (each around £1.3m) to Iraq & Egypt respectively. Are those to be delivered in 2nd half of this year or were they delivered in whole or part the 1st half ?
WAS UP 6% LAST WEEK & IS DOWN 6% TODAY?
With Interims due 14th
Any thoughts please - What has caused today's share price rise of around 20p? Or is it just on back of the sector moving up?
Any thoughts please as to the reason for recent buying interest? Have they been tipped anew?
Curious as to reason for AVG Share Price up almost 7% today. Any suggestions as to why?
Steady as she goes. Short term would benefit from news of positive development regarding Luton site and/or otherwise an acquisition seen as well conceived by the market. It is likely to be developments involving the Medical activities (Mini-MRI scanners) said to be complementary to Adaptix ( CTI) being better recognised by the market that will provide the next leg up in the SP. They say "First products for clinical testing are expected to be ready by Q4 2022" Not that far off!
What did MAIL-ON-SUNDAY HAVE TO SAY? Any new angle? Interim Results due this Wednesday.
Development site sale? Progress with Medical activities?
Pleased to see some interest but curious to know the reason for near 10% rise in the EBQ share price today? Has it been tipped? If so by whom and where? Is there a story?
IHC shares rose strongly from start of trading today. I presume another 'Share Tip', if so from what source? Otherwise likely reason for the renewed buying interest?
SO THEY SAY 26.86% BUT APPARENTLY ONLY 24.03% OF THE VOTING RIGHTS! HOW COME?
Top 3 SAG shareholders are Chairman 25.7%,Cannacord Genuity 15.7% and Ruffer 9.7%. Any two have over 25% together and in total control SAG with 53.1%, It would be interesting to know to what extent they worked together wrt SAG's attempt to acquire TPG, as it happens that Cannacord Genuity 11.7% and Ruffer7.5% were already also two of the largest shareholders in TPG prior to SAG declaring it's interest in acquiring TPG.
Subsequently SAG purchased the Ruffer 7.5% holding in TPG at 6.5p (highest price paid so far) helped to get the ball rolling. It appears today that SAG have increased their holding to 22.3%
of TPG. They are alone close to the 25% level that attracts certain privileges.
SAG's holding of 22.3% if combined with Cannacord's 11.7% would take it to 34% which would require them to make a bid at 6.5p (unconditional?) That would only be the case if they acquired Cannacords holding or were considered to be in concert with them. Might the latter be the case?
It appears that the over 58m shares that Science Group (SAG) acquired in TPG came from Rufler LLP who are in turn a holder of 3,974,751 shares in SAG (9.7% of their issued capital).
While not familiar with SAG they appear to be very thin on net assets relative to their market capitalisation, and at present quite a lot of debt relative to non-debt assets and are highlighting their EPS progress including relative to 2019 when it appears they reported losses! Or were there included write-offs that have flattered in reporting the subsequent near term rate of progress they have reported. Anyone more familiar with SAG recent history better able to comment and/or provide a perspective on the above ?
Any ideas as to why there was a temporary spike in the share price today between 11am & 12 Noon - stock was being offered at >300p.
Have seen Mr Hill's sum of parts analysis - interesting but not exactly taken by it as is.
I posted 22nd February 2021 (share price then 318p )following a Simon Thompsom ( Investor Chronicle) mention. "I have not yet seen it but thanks for alerting me to the latest Investor Chronicle mention. The sum of parts argument is worth considering over and above a share price of 300p. First, the property development potential at Luton providing around 1000 good quality flats whilst allowing for relocation of the existing factory-say £30k a flat less moving costs etc say at least £15m net. Second, the crystallisation of value within 18 months of the 60% interest in their Australian subsidiary Magnetica maybe by a listing could be worth between £30m and £50m. Thirdly, the possibility of new near term waste treatment orders from Sellafield & medium/long term extensions to
the successful 3M box contracts. Capitalised value £?m
At 300p the company has market capital value of about £100m well supported by their two pronged energy
business. Each £10m of additional value from sources (1), (2) & (3) above equates to 30p/share. Do your own
calculations as to where the share price could be heading! Would be interested to see any details of Simon
Thompson's perhaps similar figure work"
Since then they have sold very well for £35m cash the Peter Brotherhood business., obtained a major £20m extension to their box contract, separated out the future potential of Booth Industries, and formally tendered via Savills their Luton (1000 flats + Commercial too) development site. Add those to the above (February 2021) sum of parts and you can get a better feel for the potential this year for >400p - to what extent will perhaps be influenced by any announcements as to progress at Magnetica. To some extent the above has cleared the decks for what next out of the hat?

I will be surprised if Simon Thompson does not soon pick-up on today's announcement too.
Also still in the pipeline are the potential Luton property development and options to possibly monetise the majority holding in Magnetica - and perhaps another acquisition?
Why the sudden interest in TCN today?
