I was involved in the cabin/pax side of aircraft and know that this sort of thing happens often , somewhere on an aircraft. The problem is that those in the front line of finance/share dealing/forecasting do not fully understand the complexities of opearting a large aircraft and the reaction is knee-jerk.

Could you imagine taking a team from a Hedge Fund around teh hanger of a major airline and showing an aircraft undergoing a D-check - engines off, interior missing, no floors, aircraft on stands with no wheels. Panic might set in.

I just wish the government would give RR the go ahead to develope and build rather than dragging it out. RR reactors will be needed for the new AUKUS submarines too so any work in development programmes could have double benefits.

In my case there is one large investment which when we tried to complete online it refused to allow it - so we had to call Equiniti. I specifically asked - "will the RI shares qualify for the dividend just announced" and the advisor I spoke with stated "YES the dividend will be paid".

Maybe I should have read every last letter and dot in the document - but who in general does? Will have an interesting conversation with Equiniti - and the orignal call will be recorded.

I understaood that dividend would be paid on both existing and Rights Issue shares - the payment received is only on the previously held tranche.

Due to complexities with one holding, I had to speak with teh registrars and they told me the dividend woul be paid on both. So, has someone messed up?

Sales at 33% direct to shareholders is probably around the same price as them selling to retailers. And you need to ask, how many of the shareholder purchases would be of CD products if the holders paid retail prices? Certainly noticably lower - so potentially a net gain for CD and shareholders - only losers are the retailers. For me, it is a nice perk and we do drink quality sparling wines - although trying to avoid over priced, over rated French. That along with the four vineyard tours and tasting available to a Platinum shareholder - nice to have along side the Fullers perk too.
