Went to my local Marstons yesterday evening. I was told they were one of 2 in a region of 61 that opened at the weekend to see how it worked. They sold more than they expected. On Monday they all opened. I only normally go in on a Monday but would say it was probably a quarter full compared to say a Thursday evening.

Yes there will be a downturn and reduced consumption, although there are companies like ours that are buying benzene to generate foam for beds insulation etc since part of the world is still turning. Supply of product to car manufacturers has ceased but other consumers are requesting products. Not a total balance but it helps. The longer we are in lockdown the more other goods become essential. Only time will tell and my Crystal ball is not working this morning.

All part of the commissioning process, to determine and resolve issues, following which they can achieve beneficial operation. Its not a flick the switch activity which requires patience.

I rarely post but here goes. The Hydraulic pumping unit is only part of the overall facility. The chosen power unit is also an important part which overall determines the production capability. Time will tell what bopd the upgraded facility will deliver.

CDM Regulations apply and the project will have been notified to the HSE under form F10.

I assume Sirius are the Client under CDM and they along with other roles all have responsibilities. One responsibility is for the Client to ensure there is sufficient time and resources to deliver the project to ensure the work is planned adequately.

Many incidents are a result of slips trips and falls or where an individual is not paying attention. Company culture also has a part to play although from reading the company data it does appear they have a robust safety culture. Time will tell as we progress through the project, but its in the companies interests to maintain good safety standards since is part of the licence to operate because failure to do so distracts the company from delivering the benefits and more importantly people getting hurt is not good.

I wonder if LK can provide some info on the pipe and storage which NR was effectively saying were almost complete. Anyway moving forward LK has the credibility which NR lost. Onwards and upwards.
