RE: Expect a Steady Rise in SP before Results...11 Mar 2026 05:41
Everybody talks of NOMAD but there are big differences between a PRN and RNS:
Regulatory News Service (RNS)
Purpose: The primary channel for UK-listed companies to meet mandatory disclosure requirements, such as earnings reports, board changes, or mergers.
Approval: RNS is approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Regulatory Information Service (RIS).
Content: Contains price-sensitive, official information.
Source: Operated directly by the London Stock Exchange.
PR Newswire (PRN) / Other Commercial Wires
Purpose: PR Newswire (PRN) is a *commercial service used by companies to distribute news to a wider audience, often for marketing, public relations, or supplementary announcements*
Usage: Often used alongside RNS, but not a replacement for mandatory, regulatory filings.
Scope: Global reach, focusing on publicity.
Just saying that QBT use PRN so not regulated by the LSE
