This is bad news for Rolls. This government already has prior for going for the cheapest option regardless of quality. Covid self tests being the obvious one when UK manufacturers hardly saw and order , they even set up a UK consortium ffs that received hardly any orders. A bit gutted this morning, may consider my position over the next couple of weeks.

Further this is why it's called Rolls Royce Holdings, it holds significant holding in multiple subsidiaries.

Rolls Royce holdings has a circa 70% interest in Rolls Royce SMR Ltd. Its a signicant interest.

It's a reasonable price given all the chaos in the world in the last two years and now. However the upside from here is considerable in my opinion in the long term ( years )

However I don't think RR ever expected the UK to be its main market, recent events just seemed to suggest a favourable uptake by the UK , but alas its a deep seated Tory dislike of UK manufacturing and potential for industrial strife.
