RE: 1 million new cases in 100hrs19 Jul 2020 12:56
Great point @Fred16, totally agree - the markets are a fickle mistress at the best of times, but the ‘Covid’ markets appear even more so.
Maybe there was a slight delay in approval submission (or maybe not) but the time taken to approve submissions once submitted is out of GDR control.
Look at the excitement for ODX yet they haven’t yet achieved CE approval (clearly coming), granted they have an expected govt based order off the back, but still not in play as of yet. This is not meant to compare, but just shows the fickle nature of Covid markets - ODX up / down 10% in last week and probably up 10% + mon morning.
GDR’s fall has clearly been far greater than expected, not helped by expectation mis-management, but to earlier point much of this appears out if GDR control and the goalposts / timelines for approvals have just taken longer than expected and hence have orders / sales.
Appreciate above is regurgitation of multiple prior comments posted, but assuming GDR will get approvals (if not, all bets off but seems highly improbable) then orders/sales will follow and SP / MCAP will react accordingly.
Based on above and all the other pipeline projects, SP is undervalued and serves as a great entry point for new investors, chance to top up (if funds allow - I might have 1 more next week but reaching limit!) for LT holders, and for those underwater (like me) it’s not the time to panic and sell when the whole reason for investing in GDR is clearly within reach over next few weeks / months. Why be impatient? Just because the SP has tanked for no ‘fundamental’ reason vs why I was comfortable investing at higher price to start with.
Hindsight, we would all prefer to adjust our entry point but that doesn’t change why I invested a) the product b) global demand c) pipeline
Apart from emotional wear and tear (again self inflicted), expect in few months time I and many others will be happy with their investment decisions. If not, i won’t be bitter and blame others.
