As for fair value. I’d think north of Philipp Joeinig’s buy dated 24/09/19 would be a good starting point.

Not too sure Tom. When the overall picture improves it will certainly fuel the move forward here. Quite happy with the slow burn atm as had many opportunities to add more and wouldn’t mind doubling up on current holdings before any significant move forward too. Once this starts moving I don’t see a great deal that’ll slow it down until it’s much nearer fair value.

At the same time however, he did dig deep enough. “ The freehold estate won’t be worth the £2.2bn at which it was valued in 2018, but borrowings should still be comfortably backed by assets.” With this in mind, + the JV with cash consideration, our present MC is undervalued.

I understand, entry and exit is always important especially on a value basis. Am very much looking forward to seeing how it all pans out come month end and once JV is put in progress as it’s most certainly a positive especially during the current environment. Have been long on Mars since the pandemic started, and will still be here for some time after its all passed so lots to look forward to in the grand scheme of things. One point nobody has reflected on is how this may improve future dividends also when they are eventually reinstated. For me personally, the positives currently far outweigh the negatives.

Can’t see that happening this close in the run up to the deal being signed tbh, if it does no doubt it’ll be brief. As to the effect of leaving the EU having an impact on the deal, I suspect that’s the kind of due diligence that would have been performed during the initial talks months ago.

As per a post early days when CAMRA first got involved - Carlsberg were already getting the network ready back then in preparation of the JV as per a poster on here who has friends in the industry.

Unless you should a few short and wish for the price to retreat so you can re-acquire those shares I honestly would not worry about it - it’s going ahead fella !!

I know what you’re saying however let’s be very real - Did JB really believe he was going to be voted back onto the board following his mass dump/tantrum ?? Given NM will want time to evaluate the results - it isn’t a case of waiting two years.

What the herd may have missed on that, is that NM will be spending $10m with the next two years, as we’re already two years into phase 1. So with the $0.7m incoming, there’s still another $9.3m to spend on exploration thereafter within the timeframe. News heavy moving forward and no other option other than to accelerate if they wish to maintain their 51% earn in, which when weighed up against the fact NM also own 19% of the total float, is happening. GL all. Good times ahead

They are also now working on the OR ONSA contract, would not surprise me if those roadworks were to do with that. As to looking like community service, can assure you that you most certainly wouldn’t see them in suits and boots doing that type of work - messy, especially in the wet, to say the least.

It’s worth adding to that, that the CMA to date have not been successful in any of their cases right. By all means with Marstons and Carlsberg it could be a first, however off the bat, and months ago, I’m fairly certain it was perceived as more of a time wasting exercise on their part. Each to their own, gl all - turbulent time’s in general - remember to keep an eye on the bigger landscape also.
