Tanker now likely due in the next few days/week or so too.
You’re right, it’s not an ROV but an acoustic/sonar/transponder whatever you like to call it dropped down from the vessel, a compact piece of kit.
G. Sovereign is being utilised again, their equipment is portable gear contained in a cargo container which is set up on location.
Metrol are on their way to Lincoln
Metrol back out to Lincoln over the weekend.

All rigs/platforms/installations have standby vessels looking after them should there be a major emergency. Emergency Response Rescue Vessel (ERRV) is the correct term for them. They remain on station 24/7 for a month at a time until another vessel comes to relieve it so it can return to port to crew change and store up. Nothing out of the ordinary with AM having a ‘safety vessel’ in the area.
G sovereign now over Lincoln well rather than Lancaster for data collection proposes.
Further to my post yesterday, the company carrying out the data collection at Lancaster is a company called Metrol. Not sure if any guys here are familiar with them? https://www.metrol.co.uk/
Supply vessel G Sovereign currently en route to Aoka Mizu carrying mini rov/wireless data collection equipment on board for Lancaster well.
Seen the flare out last night and today, was putting it down to the planned maintenance which was due this month. Can’t say when it went out but I’d say likely after the last offload?
Cheers for the photo, also confirms what I said the other day about AM producing again. Hopefully this will shut down those who were trying to state otherwise.
cl2201......I agree. The flare is certainly big enough to be seen from a good 20/30 odd miles away at night so I’m sure it’s easily seen from other assets in the vicinity. There’s hopefully others out here who can confirm too.
I’m sat looking at the flare on AM so you may as well just cut your “no production” bull. Is a tanker coming to pump fresh air or water?!
Production restarted weeks ago.
Yes and she does look to be down to thereabout her usual draft just prior to an offload which also supports the shut down being only a short period of time.
Yes and looking at the AM she looks down to her usual draught just prior to offloads.
Can’t recall which posters had been stating over the last few days that A.M was still shut down but for a supposedly shut down FPSO she’s got a very noticeable flare burning tonight anyway which can be seen a fair distance away. Also ties in with another offload being due soon too.
She’s east of Peterhead right now heading for Lancaster, eta 0600 tomorrow. Just passed her.
She is indeed, been seeing her today. Supports the post the other day from someone stating she’s carrying equipment for wireless communication equipment for wellhead gauges .
Grampian Sceptre is just a standard supply vessel, she has no capabilities to do any other work so I’m assuming she’s carrying cargo of some sort. I’m just not sure where she would be delivering it to at Lincoln, unless that was an incorrect input into the AIS unit and it’s in-fact meant to be Lancaster then she’d have cargo for Aoka Mizu.
