Someone else has noticed (Trading results out on Tuesday). Makes a change from the Auto robot mini trades over the last while.

TRIN seems to suffer auto trades when volume is low. I also have a little in NOG and it is worse. Both good businesses and both a little overlooked. Should change when trading figures of one sort or other appear.

It should be a good one. Great year ahead as well...... but do your own research.

In the long run a business that generates cash will increase in value. The worries about tax are overstated but probably pushing it down. At least I hope I am right. The next trading statement or results will make all the difference.

A good read on LinkedIn. TRIN is not large but it seem to be doing everything right and it generates steady boring old cash and so it should be rewarding whether oil stays up or even drops back

IOG is the only oil and gas share I have that is not showing a steady increase over the last 2 weeks. A bit of news on financing should make all the difference. At least IOG is stable around 18p which I think is a fair price for where they are right now.

It seems to have properly sorted its finances and costs. It now looks really good and produces serious cash with increasing production rate. Before the oil price picked up this was a top pick by Peel Hunt and it is a FTSE listed company. Do your own research but this one can grow even if the oil drops back a bit IMHO

Slim, If the clinical trials start by March I expect a large positive reaction. That would be the time to sell if you want out. REDX haven't been very good in the past at keeping to their own timetables so it would be a good indicator of the new management if they actually deliver this one. The only real sure positive just now is that they have cash for everything they need to do for at least all of 2018.

Still nice to see a move in the right direction (especially as I topped up yesterday!)

GabrielOak, great figures on PE ratio posted yesterday. Of my small cap shares, TRIN has the best going forward conventional financial data by every value measure. Nothing else comes close. Next year should be great as the market catches on. (Those with a long memory will recognise the title - still a good read)

Confounded, yes that non-sale must have some effect but still looking good. The next trading update should be a good one.

At the last trading update TRIN had $12M cash and has since gained another $5m from asset sales. Production runs at 2750 bpd generating at least $2.5M net per month. There is little debt. Oil sale price is hedged but the cost of production is less than $30. Directors keep buying shares, even at full price. The local taxes are not a burden when the margin is this good. On all the obvious metrics this looks like a very good business. Great management team as well. And the share price drifts down. Doesn't make much sense except that the overall business is not large and so off the radar. Anyone else have an idea why TRIN is going down at present? I am a long holder so I am not too concerned - I am sure it will come good at next results. Maybe time for a good dividend!

TRIN is too small to be of interest to the major players. It is however a cash generating business that can easily service it's debt and for that reason I think it is a good pick.

jason, when there is so little volume of trades the price doesn't mean much. As I wrote, patience is needed. Good luck.

Patience remains a virtue and not often found on AIM chat rooms. I am giving REDX to the end of 2018. The flapping around seems to be over and they are working away on some good things with adequate funding for the year. If it gets back to the launch price of 85p then I will be very happy but even half that would be a great result.

It is good to see the directors buying shares - at full price - at end of last month. Usually a good sign.

Yes I am in this one - I bought below the present price. Skipper costs were the big risk but now resolved. I think there will be decent gains next year. Good luck all.

HH, A dilution was expected. It could easily have been a demand for cash settlement in which case IOG would have been strained to pay and probably would have to call on the LOG facility (at 8p conversion). In the end this is just dealing with the debts of the past. It could have been much worse.
