SmartPunter: "Finland is another source of phosphoric acid with viable REE content."
Best to keep a close watch on Putin, then!
I agree that the SP is likely to drift for fear of a placing and dilution, but that fear is not always justified. In cases where it's a placing just to keep the lights on, then fair enough, the value of the company will drop. But if it's a placing to provide funding for a lucrative project, the SP and MCAP ought to go up. As an example, see what happened when PHE acquired W2T. The doomsayers were all prophesying massive dilution and armageddon, and in fact the SP went up by a considerable multiple! Because the acquisition was the sensible thing to do at the time.
And anyway, I'm sure they won't need a placing to cover the entire 50% cost of the project, surely they will be able to fund part of it through debt equity i.e. loans of some description.
Another point in favour of VRFBs, would you really want a lithium battery in the vicinity of hydrogen tanks?
I thought it was a good interview. Best comms form the company for a very long time. Let's hope it continues. But disappointed that the FC is going to be delayed until into next year. I thought that Peel should have sorted that ages ago.
I entirely agree Dr. Anomaly! Most of these moves are things that have been mentioned on these BBs as "wish list" items, and now we have it. PHE back in control. I just hope the they find a good CEO quickly, not like last time.
But I would have preferred to get rid of Peel's exclusivity option. I just don't see the point of it, and I hope it doesn't prevent PHE going into JVs with other companies and local authorities.
I don't disagree with anything that you say there mja. I'm simply pointing out that Peel are currently woking on the infrastructure of the overall Protos site, including the infrastructure for Plot 10B, but that the building works on Plot 10B will be carried out by different contractors who are due to be appointed in September.
Of course as you say it is possible that the current contractors may lay the concrete pad(s) on Plot 10B.
There is a a difference between the site works going on at the moment, which is being carried out by Peel's contractors to complete the overall Protos site infrastructure, and the actual building works which will be done on plot 10B later. That will be the responsibility of whoever is managing the SPV company (currently Myles Kitcher) and will be carried out by contractors yet to be appointed by the SPV. We have been told that they expect to appoint these contractors during September.
Can't remember where I read it, but Peel have said that the tenders were issued earlier this year and they expect to appoint the building contractor for Plot 10B in September. So no reason why they can't get started on the buildings in Q4 this year.
My feeling is that when they talk about two different technologies, they really mean two different processes, but I am convinced that it is the same basic technology at the core in the chamber.
Could be wrong of course, but logically if it took PHE 10 years to develop the technology it seems rather unlikely that HUI could do a similar job in less than a year.
