Personally, I think he does have pretty good idea of what it takes to sort out a small oil field. Big one's are the same, more bits but on a larger scale and costs 100's of thousands a day! I would guess that he is in Mexico discussing the why's and wherefore's of this very topic. He is one reason why this share will work for us. I see that you have not bought in yet? Fair enough, it may hit 1p but even so, at this price it's worth a punt or when you think the time is right, if at all. I haven't back tracked on all the bloggs, so you may not be refering to ASTA at all!! I wrote to Malcy's Blogg yesterday and made sure he was well and truly aware of ASTA, so he could research it and consider whteher it's worth making an issue of. Anyway, we will see.

All the investors need do is read the RNS's and they tell all. Most of the research stems from there. Not much work to do but a 'new' company could be iffy as not a lot has happened yet. It's all words bar the JV, but consider the BoD; if they check their background, anyone should realise that these guys aren't fools. NAP is a clue. I think they are just hanging on for a good deal clincher that will turn the tide, then they will invest once they're fairly sure that they aren't buying a Pig-in-a-Poke or a 'Bum Steer' if you are American :)

You are so right. People cannot expect an increase without news and depending on what type of news is how high it will rise and clearly this is why it's down. No news! Grumbling and moaning won't make any difference. It's not the CEO's fault that it's down. It's not a Dog of a share and the sentiment on this board will be like a shot of Valium as soon as it goes blue for a day :)

As previously mentioned, it's VERY early days yet, so give it half a chance. We all like the quick Buck, but consider the amount you have placed, also think about putting the same money for 6 months in a building society. A couple of grand in a BS won't make you a few hundred quid in 3 months or so, but this should do. BS returns are piddley by comparrison. Just sit on it and jump off on the next spike that takes you to 3p. Don't hold when it rises quickly, get in there because if you wait until it nears the top, you may not be able to sell and it could be N.T. If you do that, by the time they close the deal, it could drop significantly, so be posied and ready!

Don't care about MM's. They always make money. This is big business. Shareholders are the Allies, MM's/derampers are the Axis Forces!!

That's right! Shares rise to these previous highs based on facts. Equiv' rises will happen again soon. Stefan will give us some more ace news very soon.

Not sure what flipping a coin does for you? Heads you win or heads you lose?! I 'flipped' £1200 on this share and I'm hoping that it won't roll down the drain. These MM's are craftier than a Wagon Load of Monkeys. No wonder they all retire at 35 or 40.

Nothing wrong with a good honest ramp from time to time. Better than saying it's the shares a load of Tosh etc. ;) Dead easy to run it down and also much easier and more plausable to detail why it's going to be a winner.

Morning mate! No logical reason for this further drop that I know of, so this is a cheeky move to stock up I think, ready for the next episode. I have the sneaking suspician that because of the last whopping rise, the MM's don't want to get caught napping and without stock to rip us off with! GL all for today. The drop won't last long IMO, they know that the CEO is in Mexico looking for deals, so I think this drop is in anticipation of things to come.

....what the new name could be, but may not contain any reference to the old 'Star' name but Mexoil is a possibility, though. MEX on the AIM already exists in one form or another but another one won't hurt. The first settlers in Mexico were the Mayan's, Olmec, and Aztec tribes. So, seeing that we are one of the first to go into this country to try to get a foothold. Aztec Oil (which exists already!) or Myan Oil sounds reasonable. Olmec Oil doesn't sound quite right, but it depends how the board logic or thinking goes. Aztec Resources, the names are endless! Just a thought while I eat my morning cake :)

I have been a Self Empolyed salesman in my own business for 24 years, totaling 44 years in retail. I dislike Rep's but not within my business, I made a lot of friends since 1971, many older reps are dead now and a few suicides by people who had high debt. Ain't worth it, get an IVA! I only find cold call salesman who try to sell me Advertising, Electricity and other 'stuff' a pain. Only doing their job though, but I have given the 'bum's rush' to many unwelcome 'Urks' ! I will stick with this Self Employed lark until I retire.....if I can afford to retire!

Both sound very amenable fellows! Good to know, but must remember, apart from CEO, they are 'Salesman', as am I. They also sound trusting; the best way to gain the Investor's confidence. In a year, we will know how true to their word they turn out to be. Sorry asbout the question mark there, but since 2005, I have been in a lot of shares and heard lots of things with big promises attached. Also attached, can be some bad smells!

My funds have to go towards other things for now, but enough to buy a modest amount should the price drop. Like Jonty, (who won't be buying until 1.25), I will get a few more IF it went down to silly figures, but I reckon it's stable at over 1.5p+. I doubt that it will go as low as the afore mentioned, but you are right in saying that it won't be possible to buy on big rises. In fact, I wouldn't buy on a big rise. If it's a good %age like the other day, it's sure to drop because 'they' will arrange similar percent drops to follow it to make a grab on some stock. Sell on news, etc. Hope the CEO doesn't mind the odd phone call so long as they are sensible and business like.

Next to buy or sell? I think at present I have all I can muster for now. No point in chucking money away until there's more evidence of happenings. Happy to Hold, Dopey to sell, Grumpy for not buying early! LOL

I am on a loss too c.35% but it's only been a week! Perhaps little point in 'running scared' this early, but I'm certainly giving longer and a fighting chance to improve. Other's may well improve to a better %age to recoup losses but with all that's going to happen here in due course, it's worth the wait I hope. GL anyway.

Thankyou Sire! Since I posted this, I trawled around and found exactly what you have written. It's on the US Stock Exchange, so whether the numbers apply to the UK, I don't know. I can find no reference to Code 1 though, but someone said it's a Myth and a load of Tosh! I think there's something to be read into it; the recent Code 1 suggests an RNS is imminent but could be coincidental. Just something to ponder here whilst 'we' are all bored silly with tennis. I am currently watching paint dry, which I find much more compelling! A bit like Football/Cricket/Rugby and most sports to do with balls! LOL

Wonder what the 10 shares at 8.01 signified. Maybe a 'drop' code? Trying to find reference to these codes but no luck yet.
