The true course will likely be somewhere between the two. Underpinning by Wressle and the size of Serenity drill relative to EOG's market cap favor the bullish scenario IMO.

I expect there's been plenty of forward selling at higher prices already and many should hold and sell into strength as drilling approaches. This is not a super risky situation where the placees need to panic dump before the drill as the market cap is underpinned by the huge cash flow from Wressle. Winner winner chicken dinner.

As good as this is, it is not the best oil play of the decade.
