Today's BTC hash rate is three times higher so they would make only 0.0167 BTC per week ceteris paribus which is a measly 0.87 BTC or £21K per year at the current price. OK, they want to use new hardware, but that cost money and is unavailable at present. Even for a £4M market cap company £21K of production is a joke.

What makes you say they are very keen? I see no evidence. Talk is cheap. Surely if they were so keen to get mining they would not have waited until BTC was almost 2x the previous ATH and mining rigs were in short supply. It's 18 months nearly since they took a 100% stake in the operation. Don't get me wrong, if you've taken a small punt, nice move, but at this stage I can't take them seriously.

Drankwell, when you see the names of retail brokers in the list of holders, particular when accompanied by the word nominees, it just refers to the cumulative position they hold on behalf of their retail investors and thus is not an actual institutional position in the stock.

Look at CLP's former BTC facilities. A portakabin. LOL. No wonder they hardly produced anything. Not a serious investment IMO.

CLP mentioned the BTC project at the bottom of the RNS so they hardly seem focused on it. Seems more like lip service to the current hot sector. It is far from certain that they will actually restart mining and if they don't get a move on the current bull market will be all over by the time they start. By all means take a punt with options money, but the lions share of cyrpto exposure should be through quality plays like ARB that are guaranteed to rocket when cryptos rise.
