They say wars good for business…. Well we’re in the right business.
Nucky first of all the majority of our business is commercial aircraft, unfortunately if you invest in engineering blue chip companies somewhere along the lines they manufacture for defence this is the nature of the beast. To celebrate that there is death and destruction which ever side of the political divide you are on is a bit crass sir
Having worked for 25 years in the aviation industry and the things I saw first hand would make your toes curl. The real issue in this once great industry is the lack of experience and know how. The use of low grade non aircraft raw materials and parts is a common theme .
The problem that boeing have created is down to greed, nothing more.
I work for their rival in north Wales who build the wings. The processes that are in place put quality and safety at the forefront of the product, even more now they have seen how quickly a good reputation can detoriate
Boeing workers demand 40% increase , crikey ! That company is in a world of misery at the moment . Emirates ceo blasting them yesterday as well . Tufan got him by the balls now , pay up or shut up if he wants wide body planes in his fleet .
Thing is RR haven't got anything to do with the aircraft they only supply the engines
Airbus A5X Widebody: Airbus is considering launching a new widebody aircraft, potentially the A5X, to compete with the Boeing 787 and A350. If Rolls-Royce secures the engine contract for the A5X, it could lead to a major order in the future
Sorry to burst your bubble svend, that isn't even off the drawing board I'm afraid. But I like your enthusiasm, it's very infectious
Happy Christmas to everyone on this board, I hope we all make a nice profit next year big or small. I think this will nearly double again by the end of next year, because of dividend announcement and smr, here's hoping anyway
I bought in just before the rights issue had enough money to buy the max. Sold the day before the Russians invaded ukraine, bought back in made an absolute killing, should have realised then it was pure luck. Three times I've tried to short and got my fingers burnt every time. I bought back in at 270 ,but I'm still well up I've decided to stay in until I'm happy with what I've made. I think I'll leave the gambling to the bookies
