From additional comments from Soh obtained after the update, it sounded like Doug may be wrong about the up from payments and there are multiple opportunities across multiple products.

I do not agree with T4P about the discounted placing. I know when Opti have raised new money at has not been at a huge discount, it has always been low single digit and never a huge amount so the dilution has been minimal. Sbtx must have near £3 mil in the bank so i can not see them raising more than that.

Cath mentioned the possibility of a placing, which shouldn't have came as a surprise to me, given this is in the admission document and the company hasn't made this a secrete. However, given the low cash burn and the June reports showed SBTX had £3.2m in the bank muting it now suggests its closer that I expected. Perhaps this was the role of Turner & Pope in October?

"Placing required to the Eczema trials. At this stage we have yet to confirm that the Eczema trial will be for a medical device pathway although per above this is what we expect. Consequently we have not yet scoped or costed the trial. The funds raised at IPO were targeted at the cosmetic and we’re on track in terms of those milestones and use of funds. Commericalisation of the cosmetic is not expected to fund the business and therefore the expectation has been to raise additional funds at some point."

"Too early to say when, to what magnitude and against what milestones but as we progress further with the cosmetic and have greater clarity as regards Eczema so this will become clearer. Future fundraise would be to continue progressing all lines of business."

Asking for clarity on the cosmetic bombshell, and what this means for investors...a problem from my perspective. Doug offered the following in response;

"Our expectation is that the bigger value for the business and our shareholders is in the medical treatments, for example Eczema. We followed the cosmetic route initially as a fast route to market (because of the lower regulatory hurdle) and the ability to prove the technology works. In cosmetics upfront licence payments are very rare and royalty rates tend to be low single digits. Because we are not launching our own product but licencing the technology to a 3rd party it will inevitably be sometime before they get a product to market, achieve sales and royalties begin to flow. What I’m saying is that any commercial return we make in the short to medium term from cosmetics is unlikely to be on a timeline or magnitude that will fund the business. Hence why we’ve always set the expectation that the company will likely raise additional funds at some point. We’ve indicated clinical trials for eczema in 2020 which at its earliest is only 12 months away and therefore any commercialisation for cosmetic applications won’t be on a scale to fund the business at that stage."

I have to say, learning for the first time the cosmetic arm of the business is not expect to fund the business (given its low cash burn) comes a bit of a bombshell. I think it's fair to say all investors had high hopes of the cosmetics to be significant revenues bearing, not instantly, but certainly in the medium term. I also expected upfront milestone payments post any commercial agreement.

I've sold my shares in Opti... tend to buy low (circa 10P) and then sell at £1....
I've now sold all my shares in Opti (lucky for me it was £1.20)...
Now put all my funds into SBTX... you can see that the shares are now trading independently from OPti... i.e. the relationship is not mutual which is good for SBTX as Opti has fallen.

You would have expected SBTX to fall again this week but it's not so that's an excellent sign.

SkinBioTherapeutics (SBTX) SkinBiotix® technology generates positive data in first two elements of its human study, announces positive data from the first two elements of its human study which focus on skin irritancy and moisturisation potential. It seems one or two BBM's are missing a rather important aspect of today's news, this being; the news demonstrates the safety of its SkinBiotix® technology in human studies. This and the ability to scale up to manufacturing level were the two major risk factors that have now been successfully overcome. As such this is a major milestone for the Company. I suspect when people talk this in it will fly.
