I agree 100%.
The world went MAD and David Cameron is to blame. I'm a Brit, I live in Europe. I AM a European AND a British passport holder. I was REFUSED any say in Mr Cameron's referendum, because I lived here in the Netherlands too long ?? What ?? I was born in London, I hold a British Passport. Just because you all had collective insanity in 2016, my pension dropped by 20%, It's still dropping !
Shooting yourselves in the foot !!! Oh no this goes much further. This is collective suicide. You drop the very people that you fought for during six years of war and want to be the great colonial power all over again. In charge of your own borders. Together with Europe you are strong and can stand against the like of China, the USA and Putin's Russia.
But no, you still think you can run the world. Sorry mates, you will all suffer (as indeed I have) for your xenophobic and nationalistic ideals. In the meantime you allow morons like Darby to rip you off and get away with corporate criminality. I really think you need to all step up to the plate, come back down to planet Earth and realise that you all made a Huge Mistake in 2016.
Of course this is all in my very humble opinion. But I do beg you all. Give it some thought before believing in the lies of almost ALL of your politicians. And of your lying, cheating CEO's (Darby et al).
Sorry for the ranting, but I am really up to there with the UK and it's lack of government for the last 2.5 years. People are suffering and you all stand idly by ??? WHY ??
That's much more than my 10? worth !! But I feel like screaming from the rooftops. Nationalism SUX, Xenophobia SUX, Nigel Farage SUX. Oh and by the way Gert Wilders really SUX the most of all alongside Marine La Pen !
And while I'm at it. Why is nobody annoyed at David Cameron ? He started all this rubbish, then ran away into a corner.
There, I'm done, it's finally off my chest. Good luck to all in 2019. Poor fools that we are, we need some good luck. Regards and the very best to all us investors for 2019.
Peter in Amsterdam. Happy Christmas & a very Happy New Year.
What on earth is going on??
This share is worth a lot more than peanuts, I get the feeling we are being tree shaken and royally fleeced YET AGAIN. Does nobody have control over thge thieves ???
A very frustarted Pete here
Part Two:
Hope this explains my frustration with the modern world and especially PFD and a man called Gavin Darby (I trusted him in the beginning, I really believed the hype). The young tell us "Oh the pensioners all have it so good" !! NO THEY DON'T.
Sorry For ranting on. But someone somewhere has to listen, surely. The government, the FSA, who? Small shareholders are the lifeblood of the LSE. We are ignored and not taken seriously, even when we have a genuine complaint.
Kind regards to all and really good luck with the current fiasco.
Peter In Amsterdam x
Hi BistoLover,
I'm really not sure that you are correct. I believe Oasis is only serving one organisations interest at that is Oasis.
You really believe that anyone gives a rats arse about the small shareholder. How many times have we all been ripped off?? I have made good money over the years. But even I have to be honest and say that a lot of them were pure luck, or maybe instinct..
So I don't expect any favours from any of the "big boys". They are all the same as Darby at heart, in it to make maximum returns at the expense of the small investor. But the FSA will do nothing for us, they never have and they never will. They are all a part of the "Old boys Club"
All this is of course in my own very humble opinion. But thanks for your posts. Some of them have been interesting. But I guess I'm just a sore loser. I really bombed (TWICE) on PFD, so I'm a tad grumpy with them. I'm honest, I bought my shares with tax FULLY paid money,
After living in The Netherlands for many years. I have to say, given my time again I would not have been so whiter than white. The Dutch definitely ARE NOT, (in general).
I had good freelance contract work here in The Netherlands and a registered company paying VAT etc.
My first words to my (very expensive) accountants was. "I am a guest in this country, therefore I have to be 100% aboveboard. In other words do everything by the book".
I paid all my taxes in FULL and on time. The one time I was just one day late with my VAT return. I got a letter from the tax authorities telling me that just one more time and I would have a massive fine.
I paid everything they asked for. Plus a fortune €3000 a year to BDO Camps Obers, sometimes more. All legal, not a single fiddle in my accounts. The Dutch !! After my paying massive amounts of tax into their coffers over the space of 23 years. They now pay me a monthly pension of about €330 a year. It rises with inflation of course. Which the Dutch fiddle the figures on. So my costs get higher and higher and my pension gets worth less and less. Literally at the point of BREXIT, I lost 20% of my pension overnight due to the fall in the pound.
No mate I DON'T trust anyone any more, I lost all confidence in being honest.
My Father once said to me. "A fair days work, for a fair days pay". Well I did all of that, had a great (freelance engineering) career. What happened?? The taxman took most of it.
Then, to add insult to injury after retirement. I queried a large extra payment to the Dutch tax authorities. My accountants reply. "Oh that's because you have too much in savings". I was mortified as I had already paid 60% top rate on much of my "savings". Oh thet's the rules mate. So pay up or go out and spend it all !!!
I'm just a tad left wing in thinking. But this is socialism gone mad.
So be happy you live in the UK. We Brits in Europe get well and truly shafted.
Cont: Part Two
PremierFools.
Oh Why don't you P*** OFF.
I was taken in in the beginning, I believed the lying toerag. But how much evidence do you need?
RU on the payroll?
We are all being fleeced. I've been here for almost eight years waiting for a return on my investment. BUT I'm sitting on a loss. Please get a life or join the board, they're all liars as well.
Is he your Daddy.
Oh please, people like you make me sick.
Good people HAVE LOST THEIR LIFE SAVINGS ON THIS DOG OF A SHARE.
Have you no morals or respect for decent people who have invested in a CROOK.
Agree or disagree. This after all these years is my opinion and I live in a free country and can voice it.
Regards to all the good, decent people who have also been RIPPED OFF.
Pete in Amsterdam x
Go help us all !!!!
My own opinion is that they are ALL playing games. Just to see who jumps first !!!
But when they do, I suspect that the sparks will start to fly.
For sure something important is brewing ? We either lose it all or we climb sky high.
But stability, nah. I don't expect that.
Wish that Darby was really taken to book for all that the GREEDY B****** has done. He deserves to do time for how he has ripped us all off.
From a very angry
Pete
PS: VOTE HIM OUT
There's a cliff locally that PFD is driving me to jump off. Has this man no conscience whatsoever ?? I personally, get the feeling that we have all been well and truly duped. So many lies and jam tomorrow stories. And he seems to have the attitude of "Crisis What Crisis". Never caring one jot for the long suffering shareholders who were duped into believing his plethora of LIES. The larger shareholders really should take note, this man is criminally negligent. I am retired and have a great deal of my funds in this share. So for me it's cash that I can ill afford to lose. PLEASE will somebody do something and very soon. Some of products are good household names, they just need to be re-vamped into the 21st century (too much sugar? too much salt?). I fear some of them at best are still at the very beginning of the 20th century. PFD also should note that many more gluten free products are required in the modern era. HELP !!! Peter in Amsterdam (about to go down the pan !!!)
Close at 39.15p !!! Why is it being given away at a rock bottom price. The world and especially PFD has gone mad . Pete Darby, please step down. Too much damage has been done. Where are the ideas and the innovation ?? This company neefds a CEO with a vision for the future, not a look at the past.
