The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
For sure! Or it might be another week like this week and all the other weeks you've forecast as game changers over more than a year.
Although Pro was right in his last post of course. Filtering or insulting people who don't toe the party line doesn't make for a balanced view imho. Like you, IJWT, I am holding here, but I'm inclined to the long view at present.
LTH here but it's pretty depressing to watch this continue to drop. Hard to know what's actually going on but I'm struggling to find reasons to be optimistic medium term. I hope I'm wrong and it's just more MM messing about.
Marmited: "We have been contacted by counterparties".
Or, in the actual words of various RNS, "contacts have been made with counterparties". Yours is better than Jim's version, but let's stick to the facts. There is no advice from GBP that we have been contacted by, or are in dialogue with, anybody. We may have, or may be, but GBP have never actually said so. What they have said could just as well lend itself to a scenario where GBP have made approaches which have gone nowhere. I hope I'm wrong but the careful wording over several RNS makes me suspect that to be the case. My opinion of course but, once again, they have avoided saying we have received approaches or that we are in talks. Facts please.
If Jim responds I imagine the word, "drivel" will come up. If it does, as he would be repeating himself, I will do the same. Please, Jim, show me the RNS that states GBP have been contacted, or are in talks.
Jim, I see you're over on the Eco board making an idiot of yourself, claiming something isn't mentioned in latest CPR then backtracking when you're shown that it is. You're spreading yourself too thin - concentrate on making things up here.
Still no evidence provided by you that GBP have ever said they are in talks (clue: there is none), and SP down again. Keep up the good work.
Drivel? I'm just off to lunch with an old pal but I'll look in later to see if you"ve come up with any evidence to refute what l said.
I want this to fly, but made up information won't help. What is certainly not open to interpretation is that they haven't said they are in talks. SP down on news.
Once again, they have NEVER said they are in talks with counterparties. Why do you insist on repeating this, knowing the facts? Show me, and others on this board, any evidence that GBP have ever said anything other than that contacts have been made with counterparties. You can't, so please stop misleading people.
Once again, they mention "contacts"; not "dicussions" or "talks" or "negotiations". I genuinely hope I'm wrong but this seems a careful choice of words to me. If it covers approaches made by GBP which have been rebuffed, they aren't actually lying to us, are they?
Back on that one, Jim. GBP have never said they were "in talks with counter parties". They said contact had been made with counter parties, which could just as well mean they went out with the begging bowl and were sent packing. This has been mentioned many times on this board but you still insist on posting your own take on the situation in quotation marks, as if it were a fact.
They might - which means of course that they also might not. I can't see anything in the current circumstances that makes this any more than speculation/wishful thinking. Judging by the number of sells today, and the further drop in the SP, I'm not the only one.
And before you start up about morons again - that is, it seems, anyone who doesn't agree with you, I am a long term holder who bought at just under 43p. I'm prepared to stay with this for a while, simply because I think it could have some long term value, but creating convenient scenarios out of not much, that point to big things short term, doesn't help anyone. It would be nice if you were right but I don't see it personally.
Quote from Jim,
"Sometimes if you have nothing to say, then don’t say anything!"
Utter classic. You recently beat your LSE record of nine by posting 15 times in a row on ADVFN with no response. You've never taken your own advice, have you?
It amazes me that there is always so much going on that is worth talking about (ostensibly), but still nothing happens. SP down again.
Timescale, Jim? You never did get around to addressing that, did you?
Well that is odd. My HL now back to 2/2.05. Spread before was 1.75 to 2.50!
Very strange but, as you say, every little helps.
Sorry, to be absolutely accurate, buy was logged for 1.2m shares, sale for 1.25m.
The sell price rose to 2.00 this morning and now seems to have dropped to 1.75. This showed up on HL some two hours after market close. What appears to be a buy and sell of 1,250,000 shares within half an hour of each other, logged in the hour before today's close at 12.30pm.
Not sure what to make of it.
Well that was a lot of disconnected nonsense, Jim. You made the same accusation that I was listing under different names months ago. Baseless cobblers then and now. To reiterate, I only post under this name and only on LSE. I no longer hold any Hummingbird shares.
Whilst I have your attention, would you care to answer a couple of questions directly, rather than seek to deflect any criticism by your ramblings about my supposed alter egos? Quite simple ones:
1. How did you translate GBP's statement that "contact had been made" into your assertion a few weeks ago that talks were not only ongoing, but nearing a conclusion?
2. Given you have been predicting a deal as imminent for about a year, what is your current estimate for a deal being concluded?
It's hard to know if you are just a sort of delusional obsessive on this, or if your intentions are malicious. I'd tend towards the former, in your defence, as very few people trade this share, and you have a very limited audience.
By the way, your posts on ECO are not entirely positive. Should we infer that means you are a paid deramper?
Given myself a few days off, as it also seems have the dynamic duo. No posts for almost a week.
Jim, have you any evidence of your allegations I post other than under this name? Of course you haven't - I only post on LSE and I only use this name. You really are pathetic. Share price down again today - can we take it that means good news?
If you doubt I am a LTH, I will lodge a sum of your choice with Marmited if you will do the same. I'll provide evidence to him and whoever is right keeps the pool. Up for it? £1,000/£10,000? Name the amount and put your money where your mouth is.
I am also a LTH in ECO but sold my stake in Hummingbird some time ago. I criticised the management at both of them, as is my right.
Emotional, Marmited? You must have a very stiff upper lip to reach that conclusion. And your comment about "hits at individuals" is risible. For 95% of the time there are only two people on this board, yourself and Jim - I can only really respond to you! I have no recollection of a question from you in the Spring, and no way of checking. However, if you'd asked me a similar question I would have answered in the same way. Your outpourings may be technically correct, whatever that means in a casino like AIM. Whether they are or they aren't, my point is that the banging on about this share being the best thing since sliced bread, which has been going on it seems since Moses was a lad, has not been matched by any positive news. That's it, that's my point. Share price down again today.
Zebbo, thank you for your unsolicited advice. I don't blame anybody for the performance of the share (other than GBP's management) and I do my own research. My point, and my only point, regarding the two permanent occupants of this board, is that they continue to big up this share in the face of a longstanding lack of performance and, in Jim The Invisible's case, despite each and every one of his predictions of good news failing to materialise.
Have you? I'm merely pointing out that, despite all your posturing (although you're not as bad as Jim) for months on end, nothing has happened. I see nothing in what you and Jim say that makes me believe anything worthwhile is on the cards.
I've certainly asked Jim more than once about his timescale. According to him, success has been just around the corner for months on end. You can't really even be called rampers as you mostly just talk between yourselves.
