George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Happy to have a chat over there. Same profile name as here (with an ‘at’ at the front.
Good price! I may know who paid .95 for the 250k too... No idea if there is any more behind them though, just took what was on offer. There was a few more being offered at that level yesterday but I was too slow.
Roll on some news!
Indeed indeed! If he’s who I think he might be he certainly knows a thing or two about the metals/mining sector and I doubt he’d put that sort of money up on a whim!
Perhaps Johnno could add “It’ll never be cheaper, and £20m isn’t much more than you spent buying back yet more of your own shares yet again today (£15m ish)!”.
Ref Goldy's lithium idea, FFS I hope not either!
Ref CLON, if David is/was actually on his way to or from Australia, that could be very significant for CLON. But that's another story, not for here. And definitely not for repetition to the cesspit over on the CLON board!
Echo - DH really must have too much going on, not least with CLON (I'm a holder there too), to be merely sightseeing on Mars or popping by for tea with James. I suppose it could be 'en route' to/from CLON business in South America or Australia, but it's unlikely I'd have thought.
It's Ghaghoo or something corporate.
Rampetty Ramp lol (although ramping here would make little difference in any case, it's so far under the radar!)
Maybe both!
I seriously doubt he'd be there just to receive the TR permit though (especially with all the CLON stuff on going), and the TR deal with Riann Timm is already previously agreed (I think?).
Must be Ghaghoo then!
Ramper, me....? lol
Echo, BFFM, how interesting to see David Horgan on site. Shouldn't he be busy overseeing all the excitement at CLON?
Whatever he's there for, it's presumably important. Ghaghoo deal, maybe?
BM - can't disagree with any of that. Remember, though, that Glencore previously tried to buy the stake out, for £11m (maybe it was $s) IIRC, but it was when ARK's share price was a multiple of today's. And Johnno T does have a track record as a mercurial dealmaker with quite a bit of personal interest here, so I doubt he'll give it away too cheaply. The option for Glen to simply dilute ARK into oblivion is of course always there, but as is well known they are awash with cash and would presumably prefer to own the whole lot in the longer run, not least as they own PallasGreen next door. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
It’s interesting to note the Cleantech Lithium/Chile debate regarding the Chilean State’s inclusion of insistence on collaboration with local communities in ita latest move. Bolivia is likely to make similar demands of JV partners (why wouldn’t it) which makes the Guarani agriculture project all the more pertinent (and critically sensible).
Re G11/dilution, maybe so, especially based on what we think ARK's share may be worth.
Glencore's view may, I suspect, be rather different, especially given that they already own 23% of G11 in any case.
This interview was posted/retweeted on the G11 tw itter feed a few days ago. It gives an interesting insight into the view of another major shareholder, Michael Gentile, a 17% holder of G11 alongside Glencore. His enthusiasm for Stonepark is very clear:

News on lithium could indeed see a run-up.
And news on Stomepark could be transformational!
I think G11 did a raise not too long ago so probably have at least part of any funding required to do a deal (if it were to happen). In any case Glencore are awash with cash as underlined by their share buy-back programme recently amounting to $millions per day - day after day after day. This would be back pocket money to them, and although some folk say 'but they won't care, they'll just dilute ARK out' I suspect they'd prefer get rid of the pesky minority shareholder cleanly and quickly so they can move on with it.
The ARK interest in lithium could fit well with its sister company CLON... how about ARK sells its Stonepark interest and merges the remainder with CLON in some manner, thus creating a cash-rich lithium-centric entity.
All pure speculation on my part too of course!
Auc - I think an update on the last drill at Stonepark is due? Remember they are 20+ percent Glencore-owned...
If only to inject a bit of life into things here… I note that the Group 11 share price is uo nearly 50% in the last couple of days. And Stonepark news must sureily be soon?
Well the current Mcap is +/-£6million (with no debt).
It depends how the development of Bolivia is funded (but I'd suspect pretty easy to at least substantially third-party fund), but looking at various other lithium plays, admittedly all at various stages of development cycle, but none of which has this technology to offer, and you can see an easy £60m in my view. It is also my view that it might take a little time to get there mind you!
I wouldn't get hung up on registered office location, it's just a 'brass plate' location. The move was probably the accountant or lawyer moving offices. The actual offices are on Clontarf Road in Dublin, a fairly 'tired/shabby' 60s/70s building shared with a few other companies (mostly 162 group co's eg Arkle, Petrel etc).
If you want to see a really posh registered office, take a look at Vast Resources' (but again just someone else's place, in that instance the CFO's house)!
All of that! Plus it seems likely to me that his presence in the Kalahari was not insignificant -a solution for Ghaghoo, perhaps?
Looks to me like GSE was originally formed by 162 Group (specifically John Teeling and Jim Finn) several years ago, and transferred (‘at least’ 75% according to Companies House declaration so possibly 100%) to CLON on 1st March 2022. According to the GSE website, on 11th April 2022 an agreement was signed with the Guarani indiginous community for 50,000 hectares of land in return for 80% of the issued capital. It states plans to list on AIM. The website also states 162 Group as owners and doesn’t mention CLON, so that’s a bit hazy - though may be just that the website isn’t updated.
