It’s been a turbulent time for the boohoo share price. I believe that it could offer an opportunity to buy the popular growth stock.

From its IPO in 2014, the boohoo share price has risen from 50p to its recent high of 413p. When looking at the figures, it’s hardly surprising. Earnings in 2014 totalled just over £8m, whereas earnings last year reached £64m. This growth has mainly been brought about by strong consumer demand, and a large range of cheap clothes. The clothing firm has also thrived throughout the coronavirus pandemic, especially as its high street rivals have been unable to trade. It has also expanded internationally and made a number of popular acquisitions, including Pretty Little Thing and Nasty Gal. Expansion into the US has seen tremendous growth, with first quarter revenues there up 83%. As such, future growth seems imminent, and this should further increase the boohoo share price.

I do still think that the market may have overreacted to the news. Firstly, boohoo has isolated themselves from the factory in question, and has already pledged to invest in improving factory conditions. With £350m of net cash the firm is in a very strong position to achieve this.

Personally, I believe that the recent drop in the boohoo share price has led to a fantastic buying opportunity.

Analysts at Jefferies, Numis and Peel Hunt have retained their ‘buy’ ratings on the shares, on price targets of 500p, 515p and 475p respectively. Peel Hunt analyst John Stevenson said the fall in the shares presented a ‘clear buying opportunity’.

Every company, organisation, government should be doing an independent review of their supply chains. Food, drink, jewellery, watches, gold, diamonds, batteries, cobalt, cars, houses, builders, manufacturers, farmers, fisheries, hospitals, airlines, ferries, cruise ships, container ships, travel companies, holidays, hotels, pharmaceuticals, medicines, designer fashion and so on. All of them have suppliers who subcontract work. Next time you buy something, are you going to ask who made it, where it was made, who mined it, where it was mined, how it arrived, where it was packaged, how much they're paid. No I don't think so. You'll look at whatever it is, then the price and then buy it.

Fear and Greed make people come to irrational decisions. My advice is to stay away from this bulletin board and anything to do with boohoo for the next two weeks if they make you feel anxious, stressed or depressed. Otherwise, you'll make irrational decisions that you'll live to regret. I've seen this happen too many times before now. Go and do things that make you happy. This will work itself out and the boohoo share price will come back higher and stronger.

That sounds like a copout pb1943. There are many charities and fundraisers out there who don't have CEOs at all.

This is a disgusting reputational attack on boohoo for greed. This is pure greed and lacks all morals and ethics. Anyone jumping on the bandwagon needs to take a good look at their own life and their own greed. How many of them, if any, have donated to fundraisers, charities or anything else this week. I have donated to six different charities and fundraisers this week. I donate to different charities and fundraisers every week. How much has Shadowfall or any shorters donated to anything?

Companies like Standard Life Aberdeen, Shore Capital, Royal Bank of Canada, Shadowfall, etc., should show leadership by having an independent review into their own supply lines. As the saying goes, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Those attacking Boohoo need to do an independent review of their own supply chains like Boohoo are doing. Supermarkets who buy food where live in agricultural workers are being paid £200 for a 60 hour week, £3.35 an hour. Storage companies, newspapers, tv companies, pub groups, breweries, cruise ships, container ships, housebuilders, airlines, car manufacturers, household equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, etc., have suppliers who subcontract work. They all need to do independent reviews of their supply chains.

How many workers in UK pubs are working 60 hours a week for £200? This works out at £3.35 an hour. Too many of them. Talk to workers in UK pubs from Europe, Australia, New Zealand who live in the pubs and find out the truth.

Psquared have funds in total worth about £500bn so a short of some £20m on Boohoo is peanuts to them. They won't be bothered if they win or lose on this short. Just a tiny bet for them.

Shadowfall missed out on their chance to close their short last week now trying desperately to get the Boohoo share price lower.

boohoo Group PLC still held onto the ‘King of AIM’ crown after a rollercoaster week.

The UK short-lead-time supply chain is a sustainable competitive advantage, further supported by the group’s diversification into international markets, which now account for 60% of Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS), versus c30% in last three years, including 40% in Asia and 20% in Europe. We expect reliance on UK supply as a percentage of CoGS to continue to diminish over the medium to long term.

We believe any impact on demand will be limited. Boohoo targets younger and less affluent customers who are influenced by social media. It has proactively reached out to many ‘influencers’ to reassure them in light of the situation. We believe that negative influencer commentary has been limited to date and that Boohoo’s customers are generally driven more by price, choice, and newness.
