The Doomers and Gloomers are going to be all over this for the whole weekend trying to get the share price down to £3 and more, so they can get back in.

I bought 360,000 Boohoo shares in 2015. I have held them ever since through every up and down. I see no problem whatsoever in continuing to hold them. For me, Boohoo is the best UK share to grow my money even further.

Boohoo managed to over achieve for five years from 2015 to 2020. Boohoo started with one brand which was Boohoo itself.

Boohoo now have Boohoo, BoohooMan, Prettylittlething, Nasty Gal, MissPap, Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse, Debenhams and their brands, Wallis, Dorothy Perkins and Burtons. I think with all these brands Boohoo will have no problem over achieving for the next 7 years.

In 2008 when Primark, owned by Associated British Foods (ABF) was hit by the bad press about subcontracting labour to child workers in India, their share price went as low as £6. By 2015 the share price was at its highest at more than £35.

In 7 years the share price went form £6 to more than £35, nearly six times £6. Hence why time, patience and research are the greatest skills to learn for investing in shares.

For me, Boohoo is the only UK great global growth share. I believe if you want to make money on Boohoo shares then you need to hold them for at least 7 years.. I will be holding mine for even longer and will keep researching them to make sure they're worth holding for even longer.

Those that have sold their Boohoo shares love to express the most negativity about Boohoo. It seems to me like more scaremongering to get the share price down so they can get back in at a much lower price.

All looking for a lower entry point to buy Boohoo shares. What does that tell you? They are cheapskates. Yes and they know Boohoo is a great share to buy. Their problem is they're greedy and think they're going to get Boohoo shares for next to nothing.

So where does Nike stand today?

According to the ethical clothing advocacy group Good On You, Nike is certified under the Fair Labor Association Workplace Code of Conduct.

But a 2018 report by the Clean Clothes Campaign, found that Adidas and Nike still pay “poverty” wages to workers.

The report called on both Nike and Adidas to commit to paying "living" wages (the amount of income needed to provide a decent standard of living) to its workers.

With an annual revenue of over $US30 billion it should be able to afford it.

Reppyr - it's not what Boohoo is claiming. It's what they are doing and have done.

Boohoo have gone well beyond what they need to do and they are continuing to do this.

You need to look at how long it took Primark and Nike to come back from bad press. It takes time. Shares take time and patience.

pedro61 - and that's what Boohoo is doing. Boohoo is making sure all its suppliers pay their workers properly and treat their workers fairly.

pedro61 - there were and are suppliers in Leicester who make a profit, pay their workers properly and treat their workers fairly. Something like a third of suppliers in Leicester do this.

pedro61 - I think it's too easy to blame Boohoo for everything. The suppliers were in the rag trade for years too.

You clearly don't understand that this has happened in the past to other retailers like Primark and Nike. Many, many UK and worldwide retailers didn't do and don't do sufficient checks on their suppliers' workers.

Primark and Nike never did what Boohoo are doing to put it right. Boohoo should be congratulated for going well beyond what they needed to do to put it right.

newtrader7 - the automated production lines from Murata are modern production equipment. The cost was £100m to Murata which CAP-XX managed to buy for less than £5m.

pedro61 - maybe they did, maybe they didn't. The point is they're putting it right now. That's what matters. Investing in companies who are prepared to learn from their mistakes and go well beyond putting their mistakes right is a worthwhile investment.
