The fund is the largest single owner in the world’s stock markets. and is broadly invested across countries, sectors and currencies. It holds shares, bonds and real estate all around the world, but invests only abroad so that the Norwegian economy does not overheat.

That's the point.

It amazes me how some people on here simply post guesses at what they think is going on and never check it out properly.

There's a wealth of information out there even through google.

Wikipedia, stockopedia, investopedia are all useful. Those that rubbish wikipedia need to read more on it. It can be very useful.

The Head of this Fund was interviewed a few weeks back by the FT and he said they invested in every listed company worldwide.

alex1621 - Norges bank will do their homework. They didn't buy 3% of Boohoo all at once. They already had Boohoo shares and increased their position to 3%.

They have 1.4% of the sovereign wealth fund invested in every listed company worldwide. As the fund increases in value and gets more funds they increase the shareholding appropriately.

Yes I've made mistakes and I admit to them.

You on the other hand simply put a positive spin on everything.

I think the lesson to be learned from Paul Scott is that you can bounce back from losses on shares. It's about learning from your mistakes and hopefully not making the same mistakes in the future.

We all make mistakes when it comes to investing and we will all continue to make mistakes in the future. I've made loads and no doubt will make many more.
