Zone 9 thought6 Sep 2018 22:32
Re-reading the latest RNS and bearing in mind that, as Mole has pointed out that the financial restructuring has pointed the company to a more stable path, the Zaza must have very good reasons to forego the adding of Zone 9 production from Dino2 and T45.
The NDA's and the request for further extended EWT are of course a pretty damn good reason but timing wise, that further strengthens the view that the discussions have been on going for a while, as Zone 9 was planned to be added earlier in the year.
Also, I can't see that Zaza would risk the loss of additional revenue from Zone 9 unless
A) the majors are already happy with the existing data from the long term flow from Zone 9 at Dino2
B) the current flow rates are generating sufficient revenue that Zaza thinks the delay is justified and all the near term bills can be paid from those flows (yes, Timster, whatever they may actually be!)
C) the decline rates (if indeed they have declined and not improved from continued clean up) are relatively small, and an improvement over previous Taribani wells
