Does anyone know, as a general rule if the proportion of longer C compounds ie larger than methane increases when sourced from geologically older rocks cos it's had longer time to cook??

If so, would explain why all the Georgian gas listed is a higher methane %, cos it's coming from shallow(younger) rocks?

Now actually looking at Bugsys link, the composition by C compound is quite different from UD2, but it's then a hell of a coincidence that the calorific value is the same.

It's a massive indicator of the Maykop being that consistent source rock and would fully justify Zaza's opinion about UD2 being a technical success.
If Schlumberger find very similar gas with their deep drill, then everybody will be heading to Georgia, drill bits whirring.

The other reason of course is that we haven't been told the gas composition coming from Zone 19. If the proportions were broadly similar, then it could indicate that there was a failed trap beneath the Eldari B that had then worked it's way up into the pay zone. Actually I think that's actually unlikely, due to the different geological age of the rock, but if it was so, then would sure be interested in that.

If you're actually a shareholder, your broker should have let you know the AGM resolutions so you could vote accordingly.
