CF, interesting post ...and I do agree it would need to be the "deal of the century" but what you definitely demonstrate is how a toll deal would be best for shareholders to minimise dilution.
As everything is coming together e.g.

Who thinks MC and the board will look for a bid or do you think they want to take it to production and keep the profit for shareholders (I know it would depend on the bid) but I personally would like to see us go to production....what does everyone else think?
I very much agree with Simms.
If possible (and I know Calibre may not be willing dance with us) but if I was in MC's shoes I would - AFTER THE ELECTIONS
1. Do a deal to toll to give us cashflow and reduce our dilution - if we "give away some gold now" I would not object....we have 5 mill oz and we need to be a producer now with cashflow
2. Pay the required price to acquire the last 3% of the land
I know easy to say, hard to do.
Although it would be nice to have a larger motor from the start, I personally think it is better to get through the first year of production, pay back the debt and then enlarge the project from free cashflow.
We know what the larger motor will deliver and the gold is not going anywhere...

Mark Mobius said that investors should look to have 10% of a portfolio in gold as he expects currencies to be devalued following the unprecedented stimulus rolled out to fight the covid pandemic.

I tend to agree but I think MC wants to get 100% of the land before moving ahead with a toll deal as he does not want to be held over a barrel.
If a toll deal is really still available I would close the last 3% of land and do the toll deal and start generating some income.
