I think. TBH IF you bought in at .8p sold ay 1.1+p and have bought back in at .95p then you have judged it about as well as hindsight could give you!
The spread is the killer. I doubt the spread would allow as much profit as the above values suggest.
Buying back it would have eaten away quite a bit of that profit.
My advise again is buy and hold. if it dips then rises until May you may be left out and loose more than 30% buying back in.
It will go up in fits and starts IMHO.

What you have just seen is profit taking from a SP rise ( not surprising since Xmas presents to buy).
Historical prices of 2 or 3p is again speculation. But I think if positive news on the drill the SP will be MUCH higher than that.
As the drill nears and people want to be IN for the possibility of 10 or 15 pence pay off on positive news the SP will rise (IMHO) and this will happen on interest. Interest in the share. Interest in the timing. Interest in the wait. AIM is notorious for rampers, derampers and spike profit takers. Personally I would buy in and hold and not be shaken from the tree on the run up to MAY when the news should be in by then.
BUY IN NOW AND HOLD is my best advice. IF you want to risk just taking 30 or 50% profit and are happy with it good for you! Timing in and out on these things is where hindsight is the only thing that WILL leave you kicking yourself.

5p+ before drilling is my best guess as interest (and greed) takes over before the drill and people buy in.
Your point if fair though. My REAL prediction is MUCH more profit than 50% to be made TBH, NOT how much more!

Totally off subject with reports, "technology" and the use of the word along with someone stud there in front of the camera wearing glasses to look intelligent.....A full tree does sink some carbon. A growing tree more so. Deforestation and re-planting is the easy method. Use paper! If your talking about technology in the form of say "lithium batteries" which are more harmful to produce than the reduction from usage "in net effect" then that's also fine. There is a lot of money "up for grabs" over this. Not least by the media! I don't want an argument but "cheap energy" was supposed to arrive with nuclear power stations. If you believe they ever gave that away please let me know. Short of off grid waterwheels millponds and windmills (and I am guessing they were taxed) I cant think of free energy. Solar might be a bit more useful if you know its going to be sunny!! and I dont think either of us will argue there is not going to be too much of that!
I have a different belief, Its good to be "green" in outlook and especially for some manufacturers who wish to up the consumer replacement of things like cars......but tell me, how do you plug in a hybrid when you live in a tower block? or charge it if the charging point becomes vandalized?
It just does not add up.
Sales and marketing are just a bit up their own arse (IMHO) and are literally telling people what they will have and hoping the market will follow. Hydrogen cars possibly. But really Nissan Leaf? Sometimes I see it as a good thing they attempt to make it but also as technology twits as a practical solution paper will go away and a growing tree isn't the easy route.

Looking grim......I thought the SP might stabilise and if there were a need for a further 10 or 20% fund raise there would be some value left. I was clearly too hopeful. Without some news this could well turn into a sub penny share.
Your both wrong about CO2 (IMHO). I once read about Faraday talking to the (then) prime minister about discovering electricity, After showing him the prime minister turned to Faraday and said " I don't know what it is, but I know I can TAX it.".
Planting trees (and a growing tree) is the fastest way to reduce CO2. Precession of the earths axis happens anyway. The globe heats up it cools down. We have ice ages. Polar ice caps melt they freeze again. We can't stop that. But they have manage to TAX it! Renewable and clean energy is good don't get me wrong, I am all for it.
Just don't think smog in some cities around the globe is going away just because we have new CO2 taxes.

This is from my broker.
It reads (to me) as if the shareholder now owns 10% of the company and the other 9 shares that are not received by the shareholder are now worth 10 times as much.
Perhaps I am being very wary. But to have the value at 1/2 or less of a penny is too much risk for me.
I thought it best to ask.
The Chinese are generally reputable In business. (Not wishing to de-ramp) Its now there holiday period.
The chance of any money coming at this point are even less than before tbh.

I think (iirc) and its been a while, barryroe is vast, it would take multiple extraction sites. longwait is right to some extent (I believe). I think they did a small test drill a couple of years ago and hit a pocket of water. but that's off memory I would have to back and check the rns to be sure. but with these things there is often trapped water as well as oil along with other horrid drill substances between what you want (gas, oil, gold, diamonds etc) that could make drilling a pain.
no one even mentions diablo (which if longwait thinks barryroe is slow to develop then will take an eon because that's planned after barryroe!).long and the short of it is (imho and from memory as quite a while back) when they test drilled and found a pocket of water the sp dropped from 33p down, that was before they hit anything, they are going to hit oil there is oil there, that why they are reckying these planned 6 sites (hopefully to reduce the chance of the last embarrassment).
unfortunately there are problems and the cheaper the oil price the more likely there will be delays.
one thing I am sure of is the cost of surveys and drilling is the cheapest you will find for years.
day rates are half the level of 2015.

pretty sure the oil price was going to be "always above 100/120 pb" in 2014. and was early 2016 when it crashed.
you are right with reserves. its a devil really.

tbh the day rates for survey and drill is at an all time low, I doubt the money will be here soon. and as the Chinese are soon heading into their holiday period (iirc) I doubt there will be much movement at that point.
its not the first time pvr had had to go to court if pushed but I am absolutely with you.
at this point the low oil price would make any financial deal sluggish. you would hope it would be beneficial for all concerned for the money to arrive........some say its delayed due to a change in the amount sent form originally stated in transfer, others because of political tensions. ultimately if pvr HAVE to find 10 or 13 million it might be a bonus in disguise in the long term as a small hit now could reap much larger rewards when the oil price and sector comes back into favour and they come to renegotiate a new deal with a different partner. as manyana said the resource is a massive area and their are a number of sites to drill some unlucky when they sink. however this vessel is just out to survey the possible drill sites. trst me when its not wter they find it will be a different story.

I hate to say it the sectors hit a tough patch. f/o partners holding costs down and risk adverse sector compared with 4/5 years ago are what you have to contend with. large reserves being held off and speculating reductions are the order of the day at the moment. it is due a significant upshift imho but sluggishness is always going to happen at this level of oil price tbh.
