If people just look at the additional businesses that are progressing into vanadium and vanadium batteries it won't matter whether we sell V to steel or make our own electrolyte the demand is coming and will eat up everything we dig out of the ground.

Also you say they wouldn't build the plant without orders, I'd think they wouldn't even plan to build it without knowing the demand was there, bearing in my mind they can sell the electrolyte to anyone it doesn't just have to be BMN partners.

The tender 'Value' appears to have been updated with a range of R61 million - R100 million

So in the range of £3 million to £5 million for the factory build, not sure what the previous estimates for this part were though.

I found his comment "A lot of work going on at the moment with the use of vanadium as a cathode material in lithium ion batteries" rather exciting as well.

If they manage to get that working effectively then that opens another potentially huge market. Obviously the amounts used per battery will be small but there are a lot of lithium ion batteries out there.
