Thanks so much for your help Mozart! So - next question is when is the next dividend after that? Where and how did you know the May 14th date? Thank you so much again, very useful info for me and friendly guy, cheers
Hi guys, Absolute beginner here just having some fun really, but I wondered if anyone here knew when a dividend would be likely from 888? Also, I do my trading with a natwest trading account, if there is a dividend, how do I get paid it as a (allbeit very small) shareholder of the company?! Many thanks and sorry for being a complete novice!
As you know guys, I too am a novice and new to this game.... But, the logic in me still tells me that this share price will go beyond 200p and maybe more. One set of analysts even thought it would quadruple along with BWIN in the long term. If Nevada says yes, and the relationship grows, other states may follow one by one, and that would be fricking huge for 888 holdings. I am here for a longer term investment - a year or two, as a result, I am not bothered by yesterdays dip - it seems that many of the companies in the FTSE100 fell yesterday as well. Lets see what happens.
Hi Malta, I'm guessing that this little drop is, as you say, due to doubters selling out on the basis that we may not get the license. However, from everything I read, it looks like we will get it. I know from playing poker on the site for the last 10 years that their software is good and they have had WSOP.com on board as a "skin" of their software for years (albeit to non US customers). My personal opinion is that we will get the license. With all being good this may unlock other states in the US to follow suit and go with 888. I see this as a very very good long term share.
Why's it dropped so much today guys, all because of the pokerstars rival bid?
Thanks Malta Property... Is the long term 1-5 years? Or even longer? How long does mid-term generally mean - 3 months to a year?
Hi Laureate, and everyone else! I'm also very very new to trading with a hell of a lot to learn. I find the abbreviations etc really hard to follow at the moment! - Because I don't know what I am doing, this is the only share i bought into - namely because i know the company relatively well as I am a professional poker player and poker coach on their network. What I can tell everyone here is that they recently won a poker software of the year (even beating pokerstars) award, their profits are increasing year on year due to increasing playing members, they have just launched live roulette tables (actual live dealers and roulette wheels with web cams based in Latvia, but with online placing of bets) AND having speaking to USA poker players (that I coach), they fully expect slowly but surely and state by state the bans on gaming/poker to be lifted over there - potentially freeing up the WSOP.com website to offer poker and gaming to USA players via the 888 network. I assume this is the plan. They have also just launched a real money gaming application (slot machines type thing) on FACEBOOK. Yes that's right, REAL MONEY casino games on facebook! Now, thats the good news - hence why this share continues to rise i guess. The bad news (for me as I am new) is that I have very little idea as to how big this rise is going to be, and for how long... If anyone can help me on this then I would very much appreciate it, everyone has to start from somewhere and I would love a little help. If anyone could define (in actual time/months) mid term to me that would be great - of course i know the principals, but at what point does a short term investment turn into a mid term investment and when does it turn into a long term one? Where do we investors expect this share price to get to? Many thanks, Paul
