Just out of interest why would putin feel the need to negotiate with any western powers, what is in it for Russia? As for Putin he is 70 now, I suspect by 2030 he will be gone. Some people had Trump derangement syndrome and some people have this putin complex.

Yes at the start they made a feint on Donetsk and they are closing off the Black Sea to Ukraine and are pushing through to the Russian part of Moldova.

Odesa not being in Ukraine and under Russian control is problematical and certainly a line the Russians would be wise not to cross, we wait and see.

The dollar is in freefall, American banks are in structural issues and as for Credit Suisse in Switzerland nearly causing a banking run, one may say we are not as strong as we may think.

BRICS are getting stronger with many nations looking to de-dollarise, Russia is trading energy with this new forming bloc. Yes we have fought a war, a different war and our political class and NATO have failed us badly. That is the real issue for me not what is going on in Ukraine, can you not see it when you take a step back?
