Political Storms29 Jan 2020 13:23
Are exactly that..storms. They pass. Lines have been drawn, statements made, teeth bared. What comes next is resolution and finding common ground i.e. US support and friendship, Georgian energy independance, face saving. US political support is not to be sniffed at and 'deals' are the theme of this current administration
Some horse trading will take place in the next few weeks with outcomes favourable to both parties OR the arbitrators decide the outcome (presumably to the letter of contract law and not swayed by political/financial influences).
Arbitration may not be the simple victory the Georgians are claiming (what else could they claim?) and maybe it's a path too risky to take and if Frontera are already dead in the water then we have nothing to lose with the arbitration hearing.
