Ask yourself what P2F was before it tried to jump on the gravy train, because that's what the business really is and will be in the future. The best masks are the best fitting masks regardless of what they are made of. The numbers will show these are a white elephant if they get deployed somewhere.

I believe it's this week that Doctor Cave said he has a cancer check-up, I'd wish him best of luck with that and his enterprise here. Personally I'll wait and see before jumping in, if the pricing is right I can see it competing with other IIRC masks. I'm not convinced it would make a huge difference as I've seen tests with this type of mask where a cough just dispersed the virus out the sides like a volcano going off.

Over-emotional claptrap! I didn't insult anyone, in fact I made the example of my father who entered a covid ward negative and left negative two weeks later, they managed that by sticking to procedures, those procedures wouldn't change a jot if they'd have had P2F masks. You say " P2F mask is the only proven technology in the fight against covid", that is complete rubbish with all due respect, the masks haven't been deployed and have not been proven at all, the technology of the material may be proven, its effectiveness in the particular masks they have chosen is not. It is also not the only anti-viral mask on the market, added to that existing PPE works.
I'll watch with interest here as I think this has a future with further development.

I have made valid points and you haven't addressed them.
The fact that the material the masks are made of kills the virus for 7 hours is a red herring, they would still be repeatedly changed throughout a shift. The used masks would still need to be handled in the same way for disposal because the surface would still potentially have active virus on the surface, if somebody coughs on that mask it will kill what has absorbed into it first not the whole droplet instantly on impact.
Clinics are making people queue outside before they enter, inside they are kept apart and only inside for as short a time as possible.

@kevc100 Apology accepted, I like the idea and I think it will end up in different masks to those being brought to market very soon.
I'll be watching with interest, I don't think those invested have much to worry about but the potential may be a bit further away because of the issues I raise.

Nice tech spoilt by poor implementation IMO, it will evolve but in its soon to be manufactured guise it will be limited in up-take. I'd say that thinking this is going to be used in those level 2 situations without further development is the notion of a tool!

That's up to date, the P2F will not meet level 2 requirements, level 1 situations are judged to not require FFP3 (level 2 PPE) because they've decided the risk is extremely low, they're not going to throw extra resources at that.
I'm sorry about your relative but there's so many other ways this can be transferred, usually through poor discipline in procedures, the testing has been shown to throw up false negatives too.

Poorly fitting masks are 2nd grade no matter what they are made of, anti-viral with the fit of an FFP3 would be a winner but that's not the route they've gone down.
