Often when an AIM company is making good progress and is likely to be one of the few real success stories the brokers arrange a cheap placing with warrants for its clients.

This has happened here (MPAL and NFX are other examples) but it doesn't distract from the fact that APTAMER and its Directors are top notch imho. The company doesn't need to update the market now as much as before because they have plenty of cash and don't need to let the competition know what they are doing. I increased my holding recently at lower than the placing price and am happy to sit and wait. GLA

Unfortunately since the departure of SA, nothing at all has improved with the RNS's. Now I would be very surprised to see an RNS that actually explains the true factual relationship with Croda among other things.

Loads of negative posts on here. Yes it has been a long haul and Yes the time taken to repair the big one seems to have taken forever. But we are nearly there.

I topped up yet again, another great RNS. As long as the company is not charged too much for the fantastic domain names !!!!

Gardin might be a quantum genius but he sure cannot run a company. Also his advisors are useless. The RNS's are so complicated !! I should give up but not a good time probably.

Well its my birthday tomorrow, so I would dearly love an update, just to confirm that a funding contract has been signed with a major, in relation to the development of a new heart valve. This is my biggest holding so what a day that would be. GLA

Let's face it. it's not easy to invest in BTC directly because of 1) holding it and being able to deal and 2) CGT is payable on profits. Whereas investing in Smarter Web can be done in an ISA and is very easy to buy and sell. My theory is that if and when BTC goes ballistic, Companies like this will go up more because the greater pool of new investors will find it easier to invest here. We might be just at the beginning which is why I have now built a reasonable stake at an average price of 38p. Remember the price touched a ridiculous price of 400p during the last mad spike !! GLA

Great posts from Muck !! That has to be the DH plan to grow the company and the share price to at least a level where the warrants are converted. Then to maybe do a final placing to raise any balance needed. By that time of course, we will be aware of the additional income that the purchase of CIQ could generate. Brilliant plan just relying on the continued ramp up of the business. Very happy to be invested here with quite a big holding. GLA

The fact that the .6 bid prevailed is good as that is the biggest restraint going forward. A number of investors would be happy to get their capital returned and just have the warrants for free going forward. We must not forget that APTA are still doing new deals as before but now they have a brilliant medium to long term plan which will make their case so much stronger imho.

Bobber what do you know ? I haven't got an account with Turner Pope. They are as bad, if not worse, than most brokers dealing with AIM Companies.

Quite right the retail offer was not a success. I couldn't buy in my ISA's or my SIPP. I bought more at under .6 so I am has happy as I could be with the low placing price. But I was very impressed with the presentation. The Directors are top notch IMHO, even the finance Director seems to know everything about the product and is also very supportive of the main man. Even happier now with my increased holding !!

I don't think so many very large corporations would be paying thousands of pounds to a "lifestyle company" do you ?

I agree with the last few positive posts here. The fundraise does not surprise me at all. Apta is dealing with huge public corporations, not just one but many. They can't dictate their terms of business, such as payments up front !! They also need capital to develop potentially huge new products where they want to retain ownership. Finally yes the big institutions get in cheaply when they know that the company is nearly there, that's life. Without the big boys being involved with placings the AIM market would collapse. GLA

The shares are doing well considering the AIM market generally today. It looks like they have enough cash for at least one year assuming no growth in turnover. But they are very positive about the current year, happy to be invested here.
