With the run on gold, do people think we will reach the £1.76 historical max share price?

Hi Super - listening to Rob McEwen on the 'Wall Street Unplugged' podcast recently, his opinion was that the last 18 months of the bull run are when your going to see the 2x-3x momentum on gold mining shares. If he is right then we could be in for a fun ride! Quite an interesting listen, I would highly recommend it.

Amazing how volatile this is, no pain no gain! When (not if in my opnion) the bonds get sold it will interesting to see what the SP does then. I've luckily managed to average down to below 13p, now time to sit back and watch!

P -if your willing to invest in something then it is solely your decision. Metro is a big gamble for anyone, I bought in at 385 yesterday and willing to hold for 3-6 months, if it hits £5 then I will walk away. No reason to blame others for your investment decisions. Its always useful to hear other peoples ideas and feedback but always do you own research!

Hi everyone, now that Barrick seem to have come to an agreement with the ACA board, what is the timeline for the conversion. I have never been through this process before but I know that my current shares provider do not offer Barrick Gold and i would likely have to sell prior to the exchange. Thanks for any advice!

Just out of interest, why would it benefit a company like JP Morgan to buy 90,000 then sell 90,000 in a very similar price range as shown in the recent RNS?

Trying to learn as much as possible but I cant understand this practice that seems to be occurring fairly frequently.

Gold Shipments at North Mara

Acacia notes that today its North Mara Gold Mine has received a letter from the Mining Commission of the Tanzanian Ministry of Minerals informing it that the Mining Commission is soon to conduct an inspection of North Mara’s gold production. The letter states that export permits for gold shipments from North Mara will be issued following completion of this inspection. Acacia is seeking clarification on the timing for completion of the inspection and will provide a further update in due course as appropriate.

So far we have finished up every single day, so its cautious but still gaining. I also think that £1 is a bit over exaggerated as we would still be propped up by the raised gold price, continued output and people buying into ACA ready for the hopeful decision in our favour which is a much greater potential return than this low ball buyout.

Barrick has continued to discuss the proposal to acquire all of the Acacia shares it does not already own through a share for ************** of 0.153 Barrick shares for each ordinary share of 10 pence each in Acacia (the "Proposal") with the Independent Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of Acacia (the "Acacia Transaction Committee").

Even after an almost unanimous negative feedback at the level above, Barrick are still not willing to budge. Is MB just trying to save face or just hurting themselves even more??

I cannot imagine ACA will accept another extension, if it cannot be worked out by now then it can wait 6 months! Which leaves us with 4 1/2 hours to find out, making a slow Tuesday a little bit more interesting! Could we see an RNS before 2:30 when the US markets open??
