Thanks for that. Yes, a pretty good set of results. I wouldn’t expect fireworks, but hopefully a slow and steady climb.

"With gold touching 1,000 dollars per ounce, miner Cluff Gold (CLF) was especially timely in its announcement of its results from the drilling programme at the Baomahun gold project in Sierra Leone. All assay results have been received from the eleven completed holes. The results demonstrate the down dip continuity of mineralisation at grades and widths which the company considers show strong potential to support and underground operation either alongside or subsequent to an open pit operation. Mr Douglas Chikohora, Technical Director of Cluff Gold commented: "We are extremely pleased with these drill results which demonstrate that mineralisation, with excellent grades, extends to a vertical depth of at least 600 metres." The results are to be incorporated into a new resource update which is likely to be published during October 2009. Shares in the group rose by 3.25p to 60.25p."

I did use a guy, years ago, when I was living in Aberdeen - working offshore - and he did sort things out! However, I’ll make no bones about it, I prefer osteopaths. It is only hypothetical, right now. It would also have to be, in and out, reasonably quickly. The downside, as you note, is more interest. Normally I’d say, not a chance, because we are in for a big drop [at SOME stage!] – but the amount of manipulation, meddling, and massage [starting to sound a bit dodgy, again] going on right now, it is so difficult to know which way to turn. ....so says I.C. Summary: “Admittedly, the shares remain well below our original buy (105p, 31 August 2007). But strip out the cash pile worth 22p a share, and the share price doesn’t do justice to the fact that the zinc price has recovered from its early 2009 low - which should mean a respectable second half for Griffin.”

Charles Stanley upgraded its recommendation for shares in The Restaurant Group (RTN) to 'reduce' from 'sell' following a "reasonably robust" set of results last week. "With the share price presently standing at a two year high now seems a particularly appropriate time for investors to revisit the next movement for the shares," commented the broker. Based upon a DCF valuation on its (revised) forecasts, the broker moved its price target up from 140p to 170p. However, despite this the broker reckons "that the shares appear ahead of current events given that cost pressures persist". Shares in the company dipped by 2.5p to 197.5p.
