This well didn't produce sand to surface due to the excellent reservoir quality observed from drilling and wireline logs.

Hello Micktrick. Off the top of my head the Rharb permit in Morocco found plenty of gas, just not producible. Gulfsands ended up exiting.

Don't be silly..they need to get the gas out the ground first. Until we see gas flowing to surface nothing is commercial. Unfortunately, seen it so many times where gas shows logged in sands only for it to be residual gas that's migrated into pockets and the gas insufficiently charged. There 'may' be pockets of gas in the shallow sands under pressure like at MOU3, but the rest of the gas has probably migrated to surface, leaving these small traps at the top. Another thing to consider is the sand being unconsolidated as you tend to just produce sand into the well bore during testing. They will need to gravel pack the formation to stop any sand which complicates matters. Also, any drill mud invasion of the unconsolidated sands will restrict gas flows during a well test. If the well test produces sand, it will also restrict any gas if it is not sufficiently charged enough to push out the sand to surface. Call me old fashioned... but the lack of gas to surface is a concern, imo and is a red flag hence market reaction.. Well testing is key. It's not going to be simple.

GSA, FDP and development licence are agreed and will be rubber stamped by the ministry. Not sure why people don't understand the recent RNS. Obviously we have to wait for the approval to be announced, but could be any day now. Rig has been selected..long lead items being delivered..approval needed for the new location for CH-1, again can come any day now. Obviously drilling in Q4 will mean the rig will have to have sufficient notice to be able to travel to site. The further away it is the more time, so the earlier the rig will need to be contracted. Tanzanian government are dealing with the pipeline and are dependent on the rainy season ending, so September/October for construction beginning if they want gas by the end of December. First gas has been accelerated by 12 months. Folk seem to forget that, and the SP is yet to move based on the above, but will do so. In the meantime it's a great buying opportunity.

I hope they can stabilise the unconsolidated sands in the well bore so they can get a flow and not produce sand. I don't know whether they can still use sand jetting for the well test or will have to use packers and perforating.?

Not sure how the GSA FDP and development licence can be agreed without a signature. If it wasn't signed then there's no agreement and the ministry would say we can't rubber stamp this as it hasn't been signed.

As per RNS and AGM, GSA, FDP, and licence development agreed and signed. just awaiting approval for ministry rubber stamp. Pipeline is with TPDC and rainy season to end so construction can start beginning Q4. Rig has been chosen and contract negs finalising for signing.

A higher oil price means a deal sooner rather than later for BOR. Should mean better terms as more than one will want in. The numbers start going crazy at $80 a barrel. Saudi Arabia need oil at $80 a barrel so their economy breaks even and they can meet the budget for their investment plans.

I see OPEC has raised their demand forecast for the rest of 2023. Inflation is dropping in the US and elsewhere and economies are not going into recession. The oil price is going to rise quite a bit, imo.

Call me old fashioned, but.. 4 wells drilled and no gas to surface. Not even the running of a production string or even a well completion mentioned.. I hear folk say they've got to get nutech to look at the logs first..really?..Can't Captain Pugwash and Loony Tunes do that..I mean they do know what they are doing don't they?? Someone's got a lot of explaining to do, imo.

We expect additional progress in the coming months on the well-testing of NT-2, the spudding of CH-1 and the workover of NT-1. We also look forward to the completion of the 3D seismic interpretation by the fourth quarter of 2023.

Lot's to look forward to. I guess the signing of the GSA and FDP and development licence will kick the sp off.

I hope in the next few days or so to avoid holding up APT...they can't do any work until they get approval.
