Jimintheknow, you are second guessing a lot in the facts. There is a whole new dynamic at play for CERP assets once they are inserted into BPC with the financial backing it has to unlock those assets at multiples of today's valuation. 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p, 5p..it's all irrelevant for Perseverance whether pre-drill or post drill, and multi oil discoveries. If you wait for 1p or 2p and don't get it, then it's a bust straight away while you sit and watch the sp go up in the pre-drill build up and results. If you are happy to pay today's 2.4p and are in for the drill build up to 6-10p then what's not to like, imo, dyor.

Post merger /takeover going through, I'm not sure how these people will exist when the sp moves northwards in anticipation of the Perseverance drill. No doubt they will be slapping themselves on the back for all their wisdom and prowess at backing a winner, which of course is laughable, but I guess they have to believe themselves, as no one else can.

There are too many factors involved so I don't know where the sp would be on an ambiguous result. There is no way of knowing. However, this will not be an ambiguous result due to the geological setting. The only way you go around in circles is by second guessing the facts, which I note you do a lot.

Not sure what people are whinging about. Both BPC and CERP have been very open and honest about the reasons for the merger and the benefits it would bring. It's all been explained perfectly well in layman terms. Some just don't want to understand, or are just obtuse. imho, dyor.

There's only a week before ARA will want to see some payments, or they extend again. If no news this week, then what's the energy minister playing at. Surely the Ministry know Aminex is in a precarious situation and need to get approval for the farmout asap.

Thank goodness you answered jimintheknow, or there will be umpteen posts about how bad it is for BPC having to give 50% of the licence, as if that means giving up 50% of the oil. As you say BPC will give up areas of the licence that geologically do not have the structures that contain oil.

In this case, force majeure does not mean that the Bahamas Government can decalre a force majeure themselves, as it's not affecting them. The party that is directly affected in carry out it's operations and fulfilling it's obligations, is BPC, hence under the terms of the licences, can declare a force majeure. Therefore it does not give the right to the Bahamas Government to not grant an extension. As I've said, if they did not grant an extension the Bahamas Government would be liable to pay BPC compensation, c$100m. There is nothing to debate about it. Dyor.
