CB in his interview on 26th January when promoting the Sandfire deal and emphasising how the market are substantially undervaluing GLR,
This one liner, only 3 days ago suggests Star Zinc is proceeding.

In his Chairman’s Report dated 24th December 2020, CB stated, “ We are currently finalising our plans to bring this project into production during the first quarter of 2021.”

I can’t imagine anything has happened in the following 36 day period to stop this, and if there has been, why no announcement? Though I am surprised today’s half yearly report has not emphasised the impending commencement of production.

The basics of pre-sale due diligence include:
“Ensure all statutory registers and records are up to date and available
Ensure that your business is up to date with its tax affairs and its legal structure is transparent and the documents accurately reflect this
Ensure the shareholding position is clear and documented”

I hope it’s just a minor procedural paperwork matter but it posed the question in my mind.

If we’re no longer assuming the rights from BMR does that mean we don’t own them therefore cant continue with Star Zinc?
Very little info on what’s happening there?

Just shows the potential of the copper belt assets and we haven’t even drilled anything.
3p+ within reach today with the 6p Zak Mir chart target a matter of days not weeks IMHO.

On the basis of nothing ventured, nothing gained, I have just sent an email to the Zambia Mining Ministry asking if the star zinc licence application has been approved and if not what timescale for a decision.

I’m not expecting a response, but if I do I will let you all know.
