haha, i like the last bit poker. Some people think this shares gig is all one way traffic & easy money. It's hard work & can be stressful for sure. PFC is one that i'm least stressed about. Quite happy to sit on these for a long time. Sitting on the Golden Egg. Only gets killed by impatience!

I'm not sure whether Slift is still holding PFC or bailed & wanting a lower reentry. On the pipeline issue PFC have never been in the habit of dropping RNSs about all their contracts. I see no reason why the pipeline will not be as per previous factoring in covid obviously & the temporary suspension by ADNOC which accounts for about 10% of historic contracts. I feel the recent rally in the commodity markets is surely going to filter into the oil sector soon. The reduction in declared shorts here is a huge buying signal IMO, & i can only really see this heading North from here. Nonetheless any weakness or dips below the 125 level (which i don't expect) i will buy into!

I don't think there was anything personal about DT's post really 4th tiger. He has stated (correctly that your posts are almost entirely negative (which is correct) & called incorrectly i would add. How do the charts indicate this would go back to 110? With all the shorts reducing this will not go back there without some pretty bad news. You've chosen to sell, so good luck in your chosen alternative ventures but there is no need for an unwarranted deramp which has little evidence behind it!

Not sure what relevance charts have on a share which is in pretty uncharted waters. I.e just bounced off all time lows!

No chance of 110 or 120 here now IMO. Be lucky to buy this below 125 now. All bad news baked in & shorts bailing out. Selling at these prices is a bad move IMO. we'll see. This is a bizarre share sometimes!

People just need to relax & be patient here. This will be well on the up soon. Just give it time & it will reap rewards. I feel that all bad news is well priced in here now. I suppose all that could really go wrong is another client refuses to allow PFC tenders due to SFO stuff. Highly unlikely though. The ADNOC decision was political not commercial & they will be itching to do business with PFC again once SFO stuff out of the way. Short hedge funds reducing everyday should say it all really.GLA

Personally i'm not into the short term trading strategy but fair play to those who have called the dips here well. With the volumes i have i've missed some decent profits by not trading this a bit. Had at least 3 opportunities now to sell @134+ & buy back significantly lower. Not really my strategy though & it'd be my typical luck that it'll roar off next time. I was talking to a friend of mine about this share who's big on the technicals/charts etc. He reckons once PFC breaks through 140 it'll soar away as very little resistance levels above that all the way to 200!

Walt, my view is that the directions hearing for Lufkin will signal the beginning of the end to the SFO saga. It's worth noting that what should have been a 'sentencing' was adjourned & has now become a 'directions hearing'. IMO this is due to the decision in the KBR case which had it been decided earlier would have resulted in Lufkin not having been prosecuted. I believe that the 21st June case will either result in case closed or some kind of DPA being arranged between PFC & SFO. Time will tell of course but from my perspective, i have now accumulated a war chest of these shares & i'm selling none till SFO stuff is resolved!

I would expect this to remain in the 125-140 range in the absence of significant news. Next milestone is 21st June. Directions hearing for Lufkin!

Quite possible CFM increased an existing short. Maybe they had a short @0.49% & increased by 0.02% requiring their interest to be declared. I believe these shorts will be largely gone in 2-3 weeks & we'll hear some positive news here for a change!

Well MickyMix, common sense would say that to increase a short on PFC at the moment would either mean they have insider info on some bad news or just plain stupid. I would err on the latter myself. These hedge funds are not all messiahs & some of them lose big money as well as make it! Surely they can see that Blackrock, one of the biggest hedgers in the world have effectively closed their short here indicating something positive is in the offing. Don't forget BR have lots of influential figures on their payroll. I'm sure ex Chancellor Osborne will know what's going on at SFO & has told his gaffers to get outta PFC & PDQ!

Yes, agreed Poker. Slift often talks about low order pipeline etc. Of course a bigger pipeline is better but PFC are adapting to a more capital light, agile structure which factors in the lower business volumes. Personally i'm impressed with the Executive Management of PFC. All seems very prudent & diligent. Far better than lots of others out there at least!

All the UK Govt's plans for 2030 no more combustion cars etc is all hot air & BS. BoJo knows he won't be PM then so it'll be someone else's problem. Therefore he spews all the promises & BS out to placate the Greta brigade knowing that it's not going to really happen. What are the Govt doing to promote moving to EVs. Zilch,nowt!!

People reading too much Greta Silly****** nonsense. Oil going nowhere for a long time. But in any event, read the RNSs. PFC are on the money when it comes to renewable energy projects. Ahead of the game IMO!

DT, II's will largely be prevented from buying in due to the SFO stuff (bad press etc) Also usually only jump in when the company reaches a certain SP level!
