Im curious given that all the water company's in England are under fire for dumping raw sewage into the rivers. somehow the welsh rivers are so clean that they are restricting the relatively clean mine water from being pumped into the rivers. are we to commend the welsh water company's on being the exception. or are we being fed total BS ?

Try turning off the immersion heaters when its freezing outside then tell me how warm you are Haha

Quady really heatpumps work realy well when its warm. but when its cold their efficency fall off dramatically so much so that you have to have energy guzzling immersion heaters to get the water upto temperature. so when its freezing outside your heatpump will be struggling to break even in running cost and thats if its very efficient.

I totally agree this green idea is total fantasy as without exception all these so called green technologies rely on oil to either manufacture or make them work . as with the electric cars all it does is produce the pollution elsewhere in the manufacturing & disposal . threes nothing green about it.

As an engineer with knowledge of how these things work and all the mechanical moving parts involved. I would oft for a gas boiler every time has anyone considered the racket that will be generated when you get whole streets of these dam things rattling away the fan noise alone will be horrendous.
