I'd be watching for news on a number of fronts really. The two properties they have, "a number of deals focussing on both small and medium acquisitions", the "much larger transactions, which would be immediately attractive to institutions seeking blue chip long-term income" plus "considering offers of finance". So a lot they could be telling us. Let's not forget, "the Group views the future with considerable optimism." and so do I!

There's the answer re Red Rock and VLS

Good question, the last comms I had from VLS regarding Red Rock was when the $245m Bond was secured by Red Rock. I asked the company if that was seen as a) good news, and b) would it form part of an announcement. From memory, as I cant find the reply, the message I got back was that Red Rock was no longer a focus for the company but they wished them well. Now I don't know what that means in terms of what VLS may or may not be doing/supplying in relation to this latest development. I have asked. Others on here may have a better handle on this than me so over to whomever...

I guess he's like the rest of us, the news yesterday has basically said the 2nd property is a done deal, just getting the spec upgraded. It's no different than buying a car, you see the one you want, you agree the price, as long as x,y,z extras are thrown in, let me know when it's done, you pay and pick up the car... No lose situation... IMO and all that

a wee bit quiet lately folks, the results of the soil sampling at the Akyanga East Prospect should be announced v soon (beginning of April was mentioned). I would hope that among other things, there'd be some news on Slovakia also, even it's to update on the negotiations, they must at the very least be continuing otherwise we would have heard.

Lets not forget, there are other "significant" projects being explored by Geoff and his chums which may poke their heads above the parapet in the very near future. I agree we have been focussed on this particular venture, but as we know, this company isn't a one trick pony..

I would argue the mms have played it absolutely right, they've done what earns them money. Played the short termers very well, scooped up their shares, timed it just right and now the demand is there. win win both sides for them. Short tremors bought higher, sold lower. It could have paid off but not this time....
