Penguin, in my post at 00:30 (which was an honest consideration of many posters), which you obviously took to be personal,( i suppose if the cap fits etc), I asked for you not to give a patronising lecture answer but said i was open to honest debate....as you have not replied to me personally ( but I note you have mentioned me on two occasions to other posters) i can only assume you can not fulfil the honest debate request.....by the way i have never said i don't believe people's "research", what i did say was " opinions are only opinions until they are proven "......followed by......." the only thing that is certain is .....what will be will be "......that i think indicates that i am viewing things with an open mind......the only thing certain in life...... is it's uncertainty.......oh and taxes.....and death.........and naysayers posting on the UKOG chatboard.......for fun, distraction, dishonest and sp and UKOG destruction......I await honest debate

Mirasol, yes all fossil fuel related, but many many still have coal fires, and if it doesn't make it on your graphs then coal can't be much of a problem then can it

Mirasol, there are still villages in the UK that are not connected to the gas network, so there is still a need for coal, albeit very small in the great scheme of things....it's the global mass producers that need to sort that problem out.....but guess what.....they won't, because for them it's not economically viable....i have not seen many eco warriors protesting in China, Russia,Brazil and India.....we are changing in the UK but it takes time........and oil

Tony, at the moment we don't have the facilities to store over produced electricity when the demand is low, but that is being dealt with as we write, huge battery storage units are being comissioned to store the surplus.......off the East coast on the dogger bank they are building the biggest wind farm in the world, over 250 massive wind turbines (i don't recall the exact figure)....and the cables are being laid at this moment to service the system but it all takes time......maybe greta and her young friends still believe in the "magic wand" and think it can all be done overnight..........remember all the people demonstrating against wind turbines, they're probably the same ones now marching against fossil fuels.....it's happening but it all takes time.....we will need oil for many decades to come, if not for heating,for it's many other uses.....that's not blah blah blah......its fact fact fact

Ocelot, they don't get it do they....they seem to forget that all the infrastructure they need has to be produced by current methods, therefore causing more pollution to reach their goal......it's them that's talking blah blah blah.....mindless fools
